This week has some important events coming down in the run up to the New Moon at 29 Aries on April 18-19.
This week’s events begins with Mercury leaving Aries and entering Taurus at 3:52 pm PDT, 11:52 pm BST on April 14. That affects the houses and planets we have in Gemini and Virgo, and shows that we’re firmly into the Taurus-Gemini focus! That means Mercury is also very favorable with both Neptune and Pluto for about the next 2 weeks, so go deep into seeing the truth and keep it simple if you want to stabilize something.
A few hours after that shift in Mercury’s energies, we have a powerful Venus opposition Saturn T-squared by the Moon in Pisces. Keep it positive, keep it practical, keep it on the plan, and follow through on seeing the information that leads to discovery of different views and ways of relating to others. All in all, not a great time to buy much of anything!
This will test the health of our natal Venus-Saturn inner relationship, and may require non-polarized approaches. Keep it distinct, but unified. This will most impact those with planets or angles around 3-7 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, as well as 18-22 Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries.
We then move forward to the major sea change of Pluto going stationary retrograde at 16 Capricorn happening 8:51 pm PDT April 16, 4:51 am BST April 17. Any time an outer planet hits its station, major changes come down. This marks a threshold, and from here on Pluto will re-trace its steps over a degree span we’ve already experienced since last December.
It also means for the next few months, Uranus will move further away from the exact square to Pluto, lessening that jarring constant influence. While it will continue to be triggered by planets and the Moon moving through mid-Cancer, mid-Libra, mid-Capricorn, and mid-Aries, from here it wanes in intensity, with the next point of greatest focus coming late in 2015 and early 2016.
The week finishes with Mars square Jupiter. While sometimes things can get overblown or exaggerated under this aspect, it’s a great time to do what we have to do with flair and style, refusing all that is petty or out of proportion.
As it falls from 13 Taurus to 13 Leo, some will be mobilized, some will sense what’s coming tomorrow by the inner changes they feel at this time, and others will realize their “experiment” nears a successful completion. It obviously will most impact those with planets or angles around 11-15 Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio, as well as 26-30 Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius.
Because it’s an Old Moon, complete, capture, pull it together, and prepare for a new initiative coming with the New Moon at 29 Aries on April 18, 11:57 am PDT, 2:57 pm EDT, 7:57 pm BST. That will feature an amazing collection of aspects showing major productivity! As usual, I’ll write more about that in a few days.

Hi Robert,
Thanks, as always, for this very helpful post!
Just one question: How would you describe the effect of a retrograde Pluto? Most especially, when Pluto goes back over the degrees of past Uranus/Pluto squares with retrograde (downward/inward) energy, how will we experience that?
Aum and Blessings and Beauty to you--
Thanks again,
Kristin
