Today, April 8, at 9:58 am PDT, 12:58 pm EDT, 5:58 pm BST, Jupiter goes stationary direct at 13 Leo and resumes its direct motion lasting through the end of the year. What does this mean?
First, it means that the Jupiter review we’ve been doing since December is now over. We’ve all been in training as per its retrograde station at 23 Leo, and have been reviewing the degree span it first traversed between early September and early December 2014. Having reviewed those lessons, potentials, protections, blessings, opportunities, and newer, more expansive ways of seeing and expressing our heart, or creativity, or sense of a greater truth, we now move forward.
This should bring a sense of confidence and well-being for those who have embraced the inner heart adventure of Jupiter retrograde in Leo. It also will bring new openings on the basis of whatever we did or learned or decided when Mercury went stationary retrograde on this degree back in July-August 2012. For those who remember, this degree is about finding peace through understanding past trials we’ve overcome
The degree for 13 Leo is "An old sea captain rocking.” Rudhyar says this symbolizes “Reward of growth from outer to inner realms,” Serenity through the overcoming of storms,” “Self-gained mellowness,” and “Retirement.”
We are told in the Astrological Mandala that this symbolizes "the quieted mind’s recollections of crises and joys long past,” where we can see how we’ve “steered the ship of (our) ego-consciousnesss through seas and storms, maintaining the integrity of (our) individual self-hood while in close contact with the collective Unconscious.” That enables us to distill wisdom from those trials and triumphs through contemplating past and present realities, gently rocking us into peace.
He gives us the keyword as “Quiet recollection.” He says it falls in the span of "Assurance” and it’s the synthesizing degree in the individual-mental level of the scene of Combustion in the Act of Stabilization. So we'll use our Jupiter function to see how to find new forms of individual assurance or confidence in our mind or individuality to stabilize our creativity, either as a result of new information or old ideas and truths seen in a new light.
According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the keyword is RETROSPECT. He states this is a degree of humanity’s “great love for re-living (our) experiences in memory, and of (our) gift for achieving a mastery in advance of whatever new situations (we) may face” through seeing our relationships in terms of their potential.
He goes on to say that with this degree we fight the ever-recurring battles in our world in our imagination over and over since we bring life under leash through mastering recurring challenges. He continues that this degree, when positive, is "each person’s unlimited capacity for calling up afresh the powers (we have) gained in (our) struggle toward self-fulfillment.”
So we get to contemplate past trials from an angle of peace, as we get ready for greater heart adventures to come! That being the case, for those who want a greater understanding of what this Jupiter in Leo year has been about, and will continue to be about through this Summer, I gave you this article in July 2014 when Jupiter first entered Leo.
Please take a new look since there’s a lot packed in there. It also briefly covers some important Jupiter aspects about to come down, which I explain in much greater detail in my class “2015 - The Year Ahead For All Signs,” which you can order by emailing me. That class also covers major aspects between all the planets throughout the year, and provides a useful guide for what’s happening and when, and what to be aware of when experiencing these aspects.

Rock on Jupiter! Serenity has been fought for and gained through many trials. Now is the time to sit back and contemplate the whole thing in peace after a long trip at sea.
