This Lunation ushers in a time of gifts, unique blessings and circumstances, and serendipity, but also emotional heaviness that may or may not be related to what’s actually going on. There will be honors for some, difficult returns for others, and a new contact with Divine Mother energy for those who can see how the trees fit within the larger pattern of the forest.
Important Chart Factors
This Full Moon is where we can get a lot accomplished as some things melt down and future patterns present themselves. The next two weeks are excellent for review and renewal, and for those who are waiting for a blessing, opportunity, or a way of living a more creative or loving adventure, it’s on the way after a down time.
As I told you earlier in this series, of primary importance is that the Moon, Saturn, and Mars are a primary chain of dispositors that govern all the other planets except those disposed by the Sun in Leo and the standalone Neptune in Pisces. It’s time to accept the grace or mantle of power, or the restoration of strength that will be the prelude to moving forward dynamically and creatively in just a few weeks.
The Lunation builds through the just separating very tight quintiles and tredeciles to Saturn and Uranus, showing unique gifts and circumstances that will make things clear and simple, as well as balanced and refreshing. There are no frictional aspects to the Lunation, so this one should bring excellent awareness, inventiveness, and a genuine life renewal, even if it does require a bit of imitation from time to time.
Of course the big news is Venus retrograde in an out of sign conjunction to Jupiter, with both square Saturn. Keep it simple, lighten up however and whenever you can, don’t take things personally, and prepare for the future graduation into a new realm of being coming in the near future. Also remember that since Venus and Jupiter are also sesquisquare Pluto, there may be an aggravating intensity that won’t lead to a crisis, even if it is highly annoying.
Jupiter is now moving forward briskly, and we’re approaching the end of the Jupiter in Leo year. Because of the square to Saturn, find ways to bring your values and ambitions into alignment, do not yield to a counterproductive discouragement, and find a way to be creative that helps you to a greater loving expression, breaking free of heavy rules and limitations.
The favorable combination of Fire and Air involving Moon, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Uranus assists our ability to unique, inventive, and innovative. Anchoring it all is Mars trine Saturn from Water signs, showing that when it’s time to say goodbye in order to make something more structurally sound, go with the flow, show compassion, and bless the endings, since there’s nothing else to do when you are confronted with the end of the end of something.
Mercury in Leo trine Uranus in a wide conjunction with Jupiter gives opportunities to continue to express a new heart strength and expression, expressed through a vision of a greater truth or wider, freer future. We’re in a time of embracing a new future and a life renewal wherever the Mercury trine Uranus falls, so embrace the innovative!
As Jupiter prepares to leave Leo, keep showing humor, vision, and go for the loving protection of the heart when called upon to express yourselves. This is the power of the mature heart interacting with others in elegant ways, life as art and art as life. Because it’s Jupiter, to paraphrase the great wit Wavy Gravy, if you don’t have a sense of humor, it’s not funny!
Everything Jupiter in Leo has promised, and continues to promise, is being activated by Mercury and the Sun in that sign, and we’ll get a new look or experience of the recent Venus in Leo aspects once it retrogrades back into Leo. Almost there, it will re-trace its steps, encountering the Sun and Mercury also in Leo, reinforcing this loving creative energy. Then it goes direct in early September in mid-Leo, conjunct Mars also in Leo!
Whatever Jupiter in Leo has brought us since Summer 2014 will be in play throughout the entire Summer, and promises some great loving experiences. As I told you in previous Lunation articles, we’ve had a sequence of events that put the spotlight on 15 Leo.
There was the Moon conjunct Jupiter on that degree in February’s Full Moon, followed by Jupiter on that degree in the March Full Moon. This has “primed the pump” for the Venus station conjunct Mars on that degree in early September. In this Lunation Jupiter is at 28 Leo, and all that is promised by that position as well as the impending Venus RX in Leo conjunct Jupiter next week is “setting the stage” for further expressions of the qualities as Mercury, the Sun, and Mars all transit these points over the next several weeks..
Major Aspects and Configurations
As noted in earlier articles on this Full Moon, we have generally favorable and specializing aspects dominating this Lunation, but also a few difficult ones, mainly involving the outer planets. Overall, serendipity and unique gifts and circumstances are promised despite a sense of intense internal pressure and a degree of social heaviness through disappointment in relationships that are not as they seem to have been.
We are still in a period heavily influenced by Jupiter going stationary direct in April triseptile both Neptune and Pluto, setting the Grand Irrationality into immediate action. In this Lunation the Sun is triseptile Pluto, again triggering this long wave configuration that will result in manor shifts of collective consciousness.
The Grand Irrationality will be highly active for the rest of the year. It will be reinforced each time an inner planet transits any of the 7 hot zones of the Grand Irrationality, so as the inner planets move through the 8-14 Leo zone all Summer, prepare for things to get weird, heavy, and in a peculiar way, very natural, authentic, spontaneous, and creative!
If you’re new to the site, briefly, the Grand Irrationality in play for about 20 years, and it has affected various generations at different times. Everyone has been touched at some point in huge ways. Spirit walks with this configuration, as well as any major septile series aspect between the planets.
The choices we make as a result of these non-rational aspects show us our “direction of destiny,” and determines if the Spirit will grow stronger and closer with you, or if you will move in directions away from Spirit. Given that most of this community is intentionally trying to live in harmony with Life, Nature, and each other, chances are that whatever you – yes, YOU the reader – are confronting will show you a deeper, richer, more powerful Spiritual life. Which is a good thing.
I’ve discussed the major aspects in previous Eclipse articles. Besides the ones already mentioned, we also have Moon quadranovile Venus, Mercury quadranovile Neptune, Sun quincunx Neptune, Jupiter square Saturn and sesquisquare Pluto, and the long wave Uranus novile Neptune and square to Pluto. The quadranoviles are spiritual aspects, and show that our interactions will bring us revelations that force us to a) accept certain relationships because of spiritual necessity, or b) reject certain relationships because of spiritual incompatibility.
Other Factors of Note
This is the eighteenth Full Moon with the North Node in Libra. When the North Node was in Scorpio between September 2012 and February 2014 we went through a long wave Scorpio process of learning to “shed skins,” and let go of echoes of memories of perceptions by taking a new look at what we used to believe. Factoring in the November 2013 Scorpio Solar Eclipse, we’ve all been learning “gain through loss,” so that we could have faith, go deeper, and receive impressions from higher planes.
The Saturn in Scorpio focus between October 2012 and December 2014 that we’re revisiting this Summer has helped us intensify our striving in structured ways so we can unveil the life Mystery we’ve been chasing for quite a while. This anchored a deeper emotional stability and magnetism in those who have done the hard work of making Saturn your friend.
During the months of Saturn in Scorpio, we incorporated the old North Node in Scorpio lessons into our ongoing responses to life. Saturn also taught us to see a) how we have shifted our magnetism on relationships since then, and/or b) how we need to find a new view or way of understanding the losses and eliminations of the past we’ve been through.
The North Node is in Libra shows that sign symbolizes our line of greatest development. Therefore, the lessons we learned while Saturn in Libra are being developed at this time.
There are direct connections between our current growth and what Saturn taught us in November-December 2009, February-March 2010 and August 2010, since the degree of the North Node in this chart is the same as the degree Saturn occupied in those months. The lessons about “a new day dawning revealing a world utterly transformed” will be part of our growth the next two weeks.
Element Balance
Of the traditional 10 planets, there are 4 planets in Fire signs, 3 in Water, 2 in Earth, and 1 in Air. This indicates a heavy emphasis on Fire (inspiration) supported by a good dose of Water (feeling). The Moon in an Air sign brings strength to that element (relatedness and ideas), even though it’s the only planet in Air. Venus and Pluto both occupy Earth signs (practicality), but Venus is not happy in Virgo, and being square Saturn and sesquisquare Pluto, there may be serious practical geargrinding. Avoid nitpicking, needless worry, and if someone is being a control freak, try to be compassionate rather than frictional..
Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, clearly things are more volatile than cool. Still, with so much Fire there is a quickening going on, so rise to the increased tempo!
More on how Uranus Square Pluto Is Ramping Up Radical Energies!
As I’ve mentioned off and on over the past 3+ years, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus square Pluto. They are certainly major players in the global collision of ideas at this point in history, and from time to time will be at the forefront of the hard edge of the conflict between control systems and the forces of individualization that are calling everyone to a greater spiritual individuality.
As they are again in a forming square through the end of the year, expect a wild ride from time to time, especially when the inner planets move through Libra and oppose Uranus and square Pluto! September shows Mercury square Pluto most of the month, and the Sun makes the T-square the first half of October, with Mercury making the T in the last 10 days of October. Venus makes the T during the last 10 days of November, and Mars brings it all to a focus of activity in early December! Integrate the friction through productive Cancer energy, and you’ll do fine.
I’ve discussed this aspect at length over quite a few articles in the archives. Please use the site google box to find out more about this years’ long disruptive revolutionary influence. Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.
That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ll be dealing with this for a few years, and it promises to make this year and next very “electric and eclectic,” moving the world through a revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!
Uranus is now moving through a span of degrees it hasn’t transited since 1931-1933. It went stationary retrograde last Summer on a degree where we’ve been learning to retire with dignity from dramas we don’t need. As Uranus is at 21 Aries, where it just went retrograde, we’re learning how to generate power. This is a plunge into physical power expressed in a social setup, and the ability to focus our potency in interactive and cultural realms.
From mid-June through the end of August 2014, Saturn and Uranus were in quincunx, forcing hard adjustments, corrections, and necessary sacrifices preparing us for the release of pressure over the last half of 2014. We learned to sacrifice of old desires, attachments, and old limiting magnetism, while breaking into new discoveries and newer, better functioning by what was adjusted. We’ve all learned to see what we needed to withdraw from while maintaining our dignity and trusting our inner “God” or “Truth” to lead us to wisdom. This process will be complete by Jan 2016.
Pluto has now finished its years of teaching us harmlessness, kindness, and magnetism that brings forth a more gentle set of interactions through the deeper transformations going on in our lives. Keep purifying yourself in every way, since the less sludge we carry forward the lighter and freer we’ll feel. This Full Moon helps us re-focus on getting a “valid historical perspective,” so we can let go of nonessentials and get a sense of what’s really important in the larger evolutionary scheme.
We have now been guided through deep experiences that taught us how to get beyond fear, see life as a science lab, and learn the principles governing what comes and what goes in our perceptual reality. This is the next step in learning “a valid historical perspective,” where we separate out the core principles from the events surrounding them. This is the final step in our preparation to enter the next stage of self-transcendence, with the final exam September-October 2015.
As we learn to master Uranus square Pluto, we will be able to see the true causes of any social disorder, constructive versus destructive justifications and motives, and see where mistrust and mischief-making originate. This allows us to grow into a greater power when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use the square between Uranus and Pluto in two big ways, both now and into the future.
We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. In this chart, Uranus is specializing many things in everyone’s lives, so go with the new rather than the established.
What's the proper sequence at present of deciding, feeling, and thinking, with an Overview of the Lunation
We’ve been through several different sequences since January. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses.
This Lunation shows we’ve now shifted from thinking, then deciding, then feeling into deciding, thinking, and then feeling. So this Full Moon shows that over the next 4 weeks, we will lead with efficient, practical decisions and actions, which will be followed by new information, new understanding, new vision, new communications, and new ways of interacting that helps us get clear about something.
Following this thinking function, we will need to reference our feelings and what we’re experiencing as a result of those insights, memories, understanding, or vision. After we decide or act and then think, we then need to go deep within to feel the implications of those ideas and visions.
Given that Venus is retrograde, some of what you’re going to experience has roots in the distant past, where there may have been misunderstandings, or confusion, or hurt that was internalized. Now we get to take a new look at those old relationships, and get some sort of renewal that can free us from those old worries, criticisms, and any sense of lingering frustration from those misunderstood interactions.
So get it in gear, act on the facts at hand, and then go get new information or new ways of seeing things. After that, feel your feelings and check in about how you’re experiencing those thoughts, or that information or vision. Make a decision, get the view you need, and then name how and what you’re feeling, clearing out any detritus left over from past misunderstandings, hurts, or insecurity related to how others were or were not treating us appropriately.
With Mars still leading the Sun, it’s a time of activating our Spiritual Warrior! Illumination may be preceded by disruptions, or these could show us how we can let go of the past in ways that feed our future. We’re being challenged to accept the grace or mantle of power that could help us claim a form of social or cultural leadership, and many will find a “restoration of strength” just before things fall apart en route to a life renewal.
While things may get heavy, there are unique gifts to claim, and again, serendipity is in the air for those who see the patterns of the future as they are “pre-formed” in the present. Try to find your sense of purpose without heaviness or unnecessary rules jamming your creativity, heart, or spontaneity. While there may be some “wet blanket” energy spoiling the party, don’t let it get you down. Get a creative challenge, keep everything open and above board, and don’t do anything not in your best interests. Even if you’re tempted to, don’t hang dead chickens in the window and break they key off in the lock!
With Venus and Jupiter dancing at the end of Leo, release what needs to be released, share what needs to be shared, don’t let rules and brakes on your expression create discouragement, and hold the line despite the heaviness. While sometimes life relationships and others’ rules can be a drag, it is important to remember that though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.
For your contemplation, a final meditation I offer each month at the end of our Full Moon journey of exploration.
We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.
All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.
If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.
Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.

Thank you, Robert. There is so much information here I know I'll have to read it multiple times. What struck me was this paragraph,
"The favorable combination of Fire and Air involving Moon, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Uranus assists our ability to unique, inventive, and innovative. Anchoring it all is Mars trine Saturn from Water signs, showing that when it’s time to say goodbye in order to make something more structurally sound, go with the flow, show compassion, and bless the endings, since there’s nothing else to do when you are confronted with the end of the end of something."
My stepmother passed away Jan. 2014 after fighting colon cancer since 2010. I had to move in with my dad because he was unable to live alone. This was 200 miles away from my house. Dad had dementia, diabetes, eventually lost the sight in both of his eyes. He could barely walk even using his walker.
Of course, neither one of them had been able to keep up with their finances and I had a real mess to deal with on top of everything else. It was most stressful. He died this March.
Now it's dealing with the business of the estate. The bulk of this will be over soon. I have a lot of emotion losing these two people that I have loved most of my life and have hurt me the most. So, thank you for your lovely words about blessing and endings. There really is no other healthy option.

Dear Robert: I am Aries woman. Recently read in my jUly forecast that Jupiter and Venus were in a perfect closeness on July 1 approximately and that Jupiter was coming to me for 12 long years to bring true love. That night I stayed at home and didn;t go out. Now what? I have ti what another 12 years? Where is he?

All my love to "dm".
Thanks for all the information. A lot is going on, the ride might not be easy at times, but it also looks like opportunities being forged and humanity moving forward by learning to release and get a different point of tension. A lot will be destroyed, challenged, changed, while the transit can pose difficulties, they signal we are moving forward. The past as a review to find the essentials and get rid of the rest. A good thing.
Serendipity is a nice addition to the mix.
Blessings be to all

Hi Robert,
Enjoy your site very much. Have you talked anywhere about why in the Vedic system, Jupiter is entering Leo and you note that Jupiter is entering Virgo. What's the difference and how does it impact how we understand our chart? I find it confusing, especially as my sun sign is Leo.
thanks! SSYA

Dear Robert, do you have any articles on natal Venus retrograde? I have your newest book on Mercury Rx, as I know people with this natally, but I have natal Venus Rx and have not been satisfied with what's out there. I'd love to get your take on it.

'counterproductive' what a great word. And yes, it can be discouraging. Exhausting. Sometimes, blow off words are so useful. It doesn't mean I go around saying them. Just good evaluators. Allows me not to get any on me. Seeing it for what it is. According to me, anyway. I do get a vote on the planet yet, right?
