On September 17, 7:47 pm PDT, September 18, 3:47 am BST, Saturn re-entered Sagittarius after a Summer at the end of Scorpio. As I mentioned last December when Saturn entered Sagittarius for the first time, this will profoundly affect all of us wherever we have Capricorn or Aquarius planets, as well as the houses with those signs on the cusp. And of course, anyone with planets in Sagittarius will begin to experience a profound restructuring and/or maturation in those “inner Lights.”
This will not be a thorough explanation for what we can expect during the Saturn in Sagittarius era. I’ll do a more extensive article in the near future. Still, given the binding pressure of Scorpio gives way to an open view of larger possibilities in Sagittarius, this should prove a welcome relief from pressure we’ve all felt since October 2012.
Early in 2015, Saturn transited to 5 Sagittarius, where it went stationary retrograde on March 14. It then retrograded back through the first 5 degrees of Sagittarius until June 14-15, when it re-entered Scorpio for the last time in this era. It then went stationary direct at 29 Scorpio on August 1-2, and our Saturn in Scorpio transit lessons ended yesterday as it again re-entered Sagittarius, where it stays through December 19, 2017. To note, it is still in its retrograde "shadow zone" until November 8, when it will move into zones it has not experienced since 1986-1987.
Though Saturn will not return to Scorpio until late 2041, we’ll still be dealing with Scorpio Solar Eclipse effects from those set into motion in 2012, 2013, and 2014 for many months to come, since those eclipses will be triggered every time a planet moves through Scorpio and crosses those Eclipse points. Since Saturn in Scorpio was a huge player in the 2013 and 2014 Solar Eclipses, you will be reviewing, reusing, restructuring, and renewing that type of Saturn energy for quite a while.
We’ll also see an activation of the Saturn in Scorpio lessons during the year that Jupiter is in Scorpio from October 2017 through November 2018. And, since the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Mercury retrogrades late in the year all involve Scorpio energy, we’ll be seeing those effects for 5 years to come!
For now, though, we welcome Saturn’s entry back into Sagittarius! If you have a planet in Sagittarius, even at the end of the sign, you’ll begin to vibrate to the new Saturn energy visiting that planet. This begins a time where we will restructure how we respond to our Sagittarius energies in our charts, and learn heavy lessons related to the house where you have early Sagittarius.
Because of the sign shift, it is again square Neptune and novile Pluto. It will also make a powerful sesquisquare to Uranus through all of October, with the early part of that month dominated by Jupiter binovile Saturn. And of course, we’re looking at an impending Mars square Saturn that will come down between now and the Lunar Eclipse at 5 Aries/Libra on September 27 at 7:50 pm PDT, September 28 at 3:50 am BST.
So face the future! This will bring stable inspiration, truth, and vision to planets we have in early Aries and Leo, and maximum productivity for planets we have in early Libra and Aquarius. Saturn in Sagittarius will help us learn to take a more mature look at our view, our philosophy, and our wider understanding. It will lead many to a more responsible way of living those parts of life, accepting the power to take control of “the Great Work” in a conscious way.
Those who have a mature spiritual view will find many opportunities to become the author of their own larger destiny, while others will break free of old binding spiritual attitudes and find a greater dance in a greater reality. Saturn in Scorpio may have been great for teaching us how to deal with corrosive or stuck emotional energy, but Saturn in Sagittarius calls us to a more mature understanding of truth, as well as more effective means of communicating that truth!
As I offered last December when Saturn first entered Sagittarius, because of the nature of Sagittarius, examine your expectancies, and try to see the humor and/or irony in life. This can help crystallize an entirely different view of what we expect, why we expect it, and how to fulfill those expectations. All done with humor and a sense of the absurd, of course! Welcome to Sagittarius!

Over and out. Or as my favorite Hillbilly song says.
THANK GOD AND GREYHOUND, YOU'RE GONE.
Love your work. And by the way Robert, I did get that wonderful apartment that you said was coming for me in mid-september. And it did... thank you

As the Dalai Lama once said " I am open to the guidance of synchronicity and let no expectation hinder my path."

I have natal Venus, 8 degrees Sag in the first house. After the 12th house Saturn in Scorpio, I am feeling re-born.

i'm curious to hear what you muse about the implications of the saturn tranist on the neptune in sagitarrius generation?
