It is a truth that Pluto transits lead to judgments that alter the trajectory of things. These are built into the larger process of transformation, and show forces we confront but do not control. Today we have Venus square Pluto which just went stationary retrograde.
This would indicate a major turning point for masses of people in locations affected by this transit, as well as a larger “pressure” for those with planets or angles near 16-20 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, and 1-5 Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. This is the third trigger of this 2016 sequence, heralded by the Mercury square Pluto in late March, and powered up by the Sun square Pluto April 6.
These waxing squares are emergent turning points in the cycle that began when they all conjuncted Pluto between late December and early February. This year those Capricorn conjunctions were augmented by Mercury making THREE squares to Pluto in that span of time. At the waxing square, we see emergent energy related back to those conjunctions.
Another factor in play right now is that though the Venus square Pluto is a major release mechanism, as the Moon moves through Libra and opposes Venus and Uranus and squares Pluto on April 20-21, it will trigger local manifestations of this larger energy release through its “weighing and judging” expression in Libra.
This caught my attention this morning because today is the NY primary, where millions of people will choose Presidential delegates in both the Democratic and Republican parties. Up to now, we’ve had many different states vote for delegates, but this one is truly THE primary that moves candidates in major ways, given the number of delegates at stake. While in the future there will be other major states that will also move the candidates, this is the one that gives or kills momentum.
And you can bet there will be conflicts, due to the Moon in Libra’s influence triggering the T-square. These conflicts will be taken personally (void in Cancer) and because Mercury’s already in its shadow zone and slowing to go retrograde, this vote will contribute greatly to the Mercury retrograde reorganizations that are sure to come in May. Because Mercury has been trine Pluto, and will again at the end of its coming retrograde period, Venus is releasing the Mercury understanding, and Mercury is releasing the Venus trine Saturn understanding.
I’ll be composing the Wesak Festival articles soon, and I’ll be composing several articles about the coming Mercury retrograde in Taurus that I’ll be publishing over the next two weeks. Because it’s in its “shadow zone,” adapt to the slowing pace of things, be willing to put some things on hold for a little while, and take a look at what's been set into motion up to now with an eye to seeing what has to be done before things can again move forward in late May in Mercury ruled areas, and late June in Mars ruled areas.
If you want to know what we can expect from Mercury retrograde in Taurus, if you haven't already gotten your copy, you may want to buy a copy of the new expanded 2nd edition of my pioneering book A New Look At Mercury Retrograde. The first major work on Mercury retrograde ever written, it offers in-depth information about Mercury retrograde people, Mercury retrograde in the various signs and houses, and what the entire Mercury Retrograde phenomenon is about. If you want to know what we can expect from Mercury retrograde in Taurus, or the last one in Aquarius and Capricorn, or the others in any other sign and the influence in the houses, it’s all in there.
It is written for both astrologers and laypeople. I explain how all retrogrades work, which may help your understanding of all the planetary retrogrades. It includes just about everything you could want to know about Mercury retrograde, including how it works, what it means, celebrities who have it in their charts, historic events that happened during Mercury retrograde, and what signs are involved in future Mercury retrograde periods.
By knowing more about 2014's Mercury retrograde periods in Pisces/Aquarius, Cancer/Gemini, and Scorpio/Libra, or 2015’s Mercury retrograde periods in Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra, you may see patterns in what was going on in your life, what you were taking a new look at and why, and how this "looking back" influenced your choices as you moved through past events. And you can get a heads up by taking a look at the coming 2016 Mercury retrograde periods in Aquarius/Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn/Sagittarius. It’s all in the book!
Here's the Amazon link to the page where you can order your paperback or ebook copy of A New Look at Mercury Retrograde. It is an invaluable resource for understanding past, present, and future Mercury retrogrades, so get your copy today. Just make sure you get the 2015 edition, and not the 1997 first edition, since the second is a far superior product!
Jupiter and Saturn have been retrograde, now Mars and Pluto are retrograde, and Mercury is about to go retrograde. Sounds like we have a retrograde party going on, and we’re all invited!

Interesting as I currently have Venus trining my Pluto quincunx to transiting Pluto....the last 4 days I've been wondering if I have moved to sojourned to another planet during my sleep.

Very interesting. A retrograde party that present great opportunities to review so many aspects at this time. Interesting it is happening so close to the full moon and of course at Wesak.
Looking forward to the post on Wesak and the Mercury retrograde.
Blessings be to all.
