Pluto represents the Divine Power of ultimate regeneration, and is the Lord of the Underworld we all must pass through at least once in our life if we are to be a purified vessel and become authentic to our core. Right now it’s stationary retrograde. What does this hold for us?
Pluto’s exact retrograde station occurs at 12:23 am PDT, 8:23 am BST, on April 18. As is the case with all the outer planets when they turn stationary direct or retrograde, it marks a major “sea change” in those invisible Spiritual transpersonal energies. We are all about to have a different but familiar Plutonic experience where we are shown anew the span Pluto has traversed since December 2015.
Since then, it moved from 15 Capricorn to 18 Capricorn. It now is going back over that span between now and late September, when it goes stationary direct at 15 Capricorn. After that it will be in its “shadow zone” through January 2017, when it will again enter unknown zones that humanity has not experienced since 1771. It would seem that revolutionary times are upon us over the next 10-20 years!
That span in Capricorn is where personal power gets translated into group energy through activities. Pluto has effectively entered the second half of Capricorn for the long haul, and is still in the heart of the Taurus decan of that sign, giving both stability and stubbornness to the Pluto in Capricorn expression.
It is going stationary retrograde on a degree of social and/or political protection, and rewards and recognition for our efforts on behalf of society. This is a degree of “widening influence,” and leaves a more permanent imprint because of its stable effectiveness.
At this retrograde station, occurring less than 20 hours after Mars goes stationary retrograde at 9 Sagittarius, we see these two planets continuing their novile relationship for many weeks to come. The novile is a spiritual aspect in the 9th harmonic aspect series, and either brings something out of a time of gestation, or puts something into a time of gestation. In both cases there is a promise of long term spiritual realization and therefore a potential spiritual rebirth.
Mars began to novile Pluto just before the March Equinox, and just went retrograde less than a degree and a half from exact. It now makes a forming novile to Pluto through the first few days of May, and will continue to novile Pluto through the first 10 days of May.
After that they will form a waning semisquare, bringing a new look at what began to disintegrate in the second week of March in the current Mars-Pluto cycle. The Mars-Pluto cycle is particularly important in demonstrating how spiritual power is translated into action. It is the cycle of disintegration and/or transcendence, depending on how we are able to use these very powerful forces in our lives.
This Mars-Pluto cycle began November 2014 with their conjunction at 12 Capricorn. The lower square happened at 16 Capricorn in March 2015, the opposition occurred at 15 Capricorn in July 2015, and the upper square happened at 15 Capricorn in December 2015. The final semisquare will be made at 16 Capricorn at the beginning of August 2016, and the next conjunction will happen this October at 16 Capricorn.
The current novile is lighting up planets and angles near 6-11 Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, 16-21 Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, 26-30 Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, and 1 Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. As Mercury also just made the first of its three trines to Pluto and quadranovile to Mars from 18-19 Taurus, we have a “three note chord” of spiritual energy happening right now that will be triggered again when the Sun makes its quadranovile to Mars and trine to Pluto on May 6, 7, and 8.
While some of the spiritual promise of the next few weeks make take some time to be realized, it is practical, stable, purifying, penetrating, and extremely educational, in that these aspect show that we’ll learn some truths, whether we can handle them or not! I believe a lot of what is understood will yield great openings in June and early July which will be accelerated in late August.
I believe this will be a very favorable Pluto retrograde period, given the chart for the retrograde station shows the Moon in Virgo trine Mercury and Pluto, as well as Venus trine Saturn. Venus square Pluto reactivates the now-separating long wave Uranus square Pluto, but also serves as a Fire trine release point for the favorable Earth trines to Pluto. So the Grand Earth Trine of Moon, Mercury, and Pluto gets released through Venus, and the Venus trine Saturn gets released through Pluto.
There are two notable factors in play at present. First, at the SRX time the Lunar degree is the exact degree of Jupiter in the recent March Equinox. That promises “volcanic eruptions” that help us break up old complexes. Second, the Sun is exactly biseptile Pluto and in a few days will be septile Neptune, triggering The Grand Irrationality.
Humanity is now again at a critical fork in the road of its collective destiny, and it would seem the coming Pluto RX period will unleash powerful forces of transformation. We are seeing that in the news right now, with two massive earthquakes on opposite sides of the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” as well as other major events too numerous to list here.
The coming Pluto RX period can help us find a new rhythm of life that preserves energy for best use, and should bring us a whole new understanding of the concept of consequences, whether current consequences for past actions and inactions, or potential future consequences resulting from current actions and inactions. Many will find “the joy and power of new beginnings” as a result of a clear spiritual understanding. We will all come out with a new practicality, a new protection, and a new courage born of seeing to the core of things.

I think it's interesting, though maybe not surprising given the radical effectiveness of astrology, that both pluto and mars go retro within hours, followed quickly by a full moon in scorpio, where scorpio is ruled by both pluto and mars! Would seem to indicate that this is not an "everyday" full moon...

Highly interesting and I am sure there is more to what is happening in the Cosmos (and planet earth) that what you can summarize in a brief post. As JP posted, the fact that the Full Moon in Scorpio is around the corner (and Wesak!) are other two components to this potent mix.
Indeed humanity is now again at a critical fork in the road of its collective destiny. I also think that all these will bring humanity to a new understanding of consequences and it may find "the joy and power of new beginnings".
Thank you Robert and blessings be to all.

Pluto is entering my 8th and transiting a Stellium I have in this order: Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury. I already have a good idea how this is going to play out, but still not sure how I am going to handle the transitions. My mantra will probably be, 'what you resist, persists'....or 'God help me!' :)
