This Wisdom “High Moon” ushers in a year of “Buddha Wisdom,” with the quality of each year shown by the chart of the Full Moon of Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio. This will simplify and specialize many things so that we have points of stability throughout the vast number of Mutable T-squares and Grand Mutable Crosses approaching!
Important Chart Factors
As I’ve told you, this Lunation will synthesize many things across many areas, and offer high specialization for those who cultivate the gifts promised by the Wesak. The Grand Irrationality is set into motion at the critical septile made by the Sun to Neptune. This promises a major fork in the collective consciousness where future destiny will emerge. This one’s a “run but you can’t hide” type of Full Moon!
The Mutable T-square will dominate the global pattern for the next 9 weeks. It’s most affecting those with planets in the middle degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, including those born in the first week of March, June, September, and December. Adaptability and the ability to suspend judgment while exploring all there is to explore without wanting too much order are the keys to success.
Because Jupiter in Virgo leads the occupied sector of the “Locomotive” pattern, it is extraordinarily important in how to initiate activity. Be practical, precise, and functional within a larger vision, and show humor when overcoming any limiting beliefs or circumstances. The opposition from Pisces to Virgo counsels us to stay alert to seeing the bigger picture, and learn how to give things an occasional push so they prove in our long term interest.
In some ways, this is the end of a collective submergence, with new service and newer, more effective ways to live demanded within the collective dreamscape. So it’s both the end of the end of an old way of relating to others and even to our life story, even as newer necessities break the surface in a cacophony of possibilities thanks to the Mutable T. There are great integrative possibilities for those who can hang out within the dilemmas, so make sure you’re hanging in there to receive the rewards you’re due.
Major Aspects and Configurations
Except for the powerful Mutable T-square, there are mostly harmonious, spiritual, and specializing aspects in this Lunation. The friction comes solely from Jupiter opposed Neptune in Pisces opposition Jupiter with both of them square Saturn. This square will stay strong through this Summer, and shows the Great Fracturing that will ultimately be tremendously beneficial in clearing out some limiting attitudes and circumstances so we can find the knowledge that ensures us forms of wealth and power in the future.
Jupiter square Saturn gives us the opportunity to bring much to completion. If you feel that some effort is not worth the price, it’s an opportunity not to fall into discouragement or set your sights too low, or allow unnecessary rules and limitations to put you off your goal. Make sure your values and ambitions are reinforcing each other, and you’ll develop the strength to hold the focus under pressure.
Jupiter is forming an opposition to Neptune, relieved by the long term trine from Mercury in Taurus which will last for many weeks to come. Even though it’s separating, it will go retrograde and make another forming trine to Jupiter, and go stationary direct in late May in close trine to Jupiter. Because both of these planets are forming Earth trines to Pluto, this is the time to go to the core and see the openings that are obvious.
This favorable productive building awareness can be released through Saturn, which is the driver of the Mutable T-square. Be a good juggler and communicator, find different ways of viewing things to shift the momentum, and you’ll find your expertise has led you to a different realm of activity. The stability of the Grand Earth Trine can be released in find style via Saturn, as long as the Sagittarian expression has both simplicity, practicality, and versatility!
Harmonious aspects include Moon decile Mars, trine Neptune, and quintile Pluto, Mercury quintile Neptune and pentelftile Pluto, Venus conjunct Uranus and novile Neptune, Sun biquintile Mars, quadraelftile Jupiter, and septile to Neptune. Outer planet aspects include Mars novile Pluto, and Uranus novile Neptune. The only frictional aspect besides the T-square is Mars sesquisquare Uranus.
The Sun biquintile Mars is a very important and highly specializing interactive aspect. This will bring some interesting unique blessings and returns for those with planets or angles near 7-11 Sagittarius, 19-23 Aquarius, 1-5 Taurus, 13-17 Cancer, and 25-29 Virgo. The Mercury quintile Neptune will help sharpen the practical intuition and ability to tap into the collective consciousness for those with planets or angles near 9-13 Pisces, 21-25 Taurus, 3-7 Leo, 15-19 Libra, and 27 Sagittarius – 1 Capricorn. And the Moon quintile Pluto will help us get straight to the heart of any matter. Affected areas include 2-6 Scorpio, 14-18 Capricorn, 26-30 Pisces, 8-12 Gemini, and 20-24 Leo.
If you want to know more about quintiles, biquintiles, tredeciles, noviles, septiles, and the various elftile series aspects, please go to the site google box and type in any of these terms to find the articles I’ve written explaining these aspects. Also, remember that all of these set up harmonic resonance void points all over our charts.
As I mentioned earlier, the Grand Irrationality is in direct play in this one, thanks to the Sun transiting the Taurus zone of that configuration. This sets up triggers when a greater Taurus wisdom will be emanated into the collective atmosphere, whether to allow things to grow in a natural way, or showing us how things have grown in a natural way since some form of “cosmic visitation.” This configuration will be triggered by all inner planet transits through early Taurus and when they go through late Gemini throughout June, making biseptiles to Neptune and triseptiles to Pluto.
If you’re new to the site, briefly, the Grand Irrationality in play for over 20 years, and it has affected various generations at different times. Everyone has been touched at some point in huge ways. Spirit walks with this configuration, as well as any major septile series aspect between the planets.
The choices we make as a result of these non-rational aspects show us our “direction of destiny,” and determines if the Spirit will grow stronger and closer with you, or if you will move in directions away from Spirit. Given that most of this community is intentionally trying to live in harmony with Life, Nature, and each other, chances are that whatever you – yes, YOU the reader – are confronting will show you a deeper, richer, more powerful Spiritual life. Which is a good thing.
Other Factors of Note
This is the sixth Full Moon with the North Node in Virgo. Let’s take a look back at what we’ve been learning from past North Node transits.
When the North Node was in Scorpio between September 2012 and February 2014 we went through a long wave Scorpio process of learning to “shed skins,” and let go of echoes of memories of perceptions by taking a new look at what we used to believe. Factoring in the November 2013 Scorpio Solar Eclipse, we’ve all been learning “gain through loss,” so that we could have faith, go deeper, and receive impressions from higher planes.
The Saturn in Scorpio focus between October 2012 and December 2014 that we revisited last Summer helped us intensify our striving in structured ways so we can unveil the life Mystery we’ve been chasing for quite a while. This anchored a deeper emotional stability and magnetism in those who have done the hard work of making Saturn your friend.
During the months of Saturn in Scorpio, we incorporated the old North Node in Scorpio lessons into our ongoing responses to life. Saturn also taught us to see a) how we have shifted our magnetism on relationships since then, and/or b) how we need to find a new view or way of understanding the losses and eliminations of the past we’ve been through.
The North Node is in Libra symbolized our line of greatest development. Therefore, the lessons we learned while Saturn in Libra were been developed between February 2014 and October 2015. Now it’s in Virgo, where we get pulled to growth through Virgo emphases.
This Lunation is the next one with the North Node in close conjunction with Jupiter, indicating growth is in having faith in our ability to grow in practical ways, and move into those “venerable standards” from 2009 that we’ve been willing to live as an example to others. “Expansive attention to detail,” or being educated by experimenting with social service could describe this conjunction.
Element Balance
Of the traditional 10 planets, there are 4 planets in Fire signs, 2 in Water, 4 in Earth, and 0 in Air. This indicates a preponderance of Fire (inspiration) and Earth (Practicality), with a significant presence of Water (feeling), and no Air (communicating). This indicates a high degree of inspiration and practicality, with almost no sense of relatedness. As the Air element is very underrepresented until the planets make it to Gemini, cultivate what interactions you can.
Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, feelings will run fairly high, with the practicality of Earth keeping things grounded. This is the capturing of the Aries “pulse” of these times, and anchoring in a stable form to be communicated to the world, each in their own way.
More on how Uranus Square Pluto Has Ramped Up Radical Energies!
As I’ve mentioned off and on over the past 3+ years, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus square Pluto. They are certainly major players in the global collision of ideas at this point in history, and from time to time will be at the forefront of the hard edge of the conflict between control systems and the forces of individualization that are calling everyone to a greater spiritual individuality.
Even though the exact square is just past, it’s still very intense since it’s only separating by 3+ degrees, and so is triggered each time anything moves through 16 to 24 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. It’s been triggered nonstop through all of April due to transits through Aries. Venus now finishes its transit, and now it’s out of orb, and won’t again be a factor until late November 2016 and January 2017.
I’ve discussed this aspect at length over quite a few articles in the archives. Please use the site google box to find out more about this years’ long disruptive revolutionary influence. Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.
That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ll be dealing with this for a few years, and it promises to make this year and next very “electric and eclectic,” moving the world through a revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!
Uranus is now moving through a span of degrees it hasn’t transited since 1931-1933. In 2014-2015, it went stationary retrograde and stationary direct on a degree where we’ve been learning to retire with dignity from dramas we don’t need. As Uranus is now moving forward, we can use this power of revolution and innovation to find a new perspective and balance in our actions, getting focused in how we express our potential.
Saturn has been trine Uranus, but is now moving back to a sesquisquare. This will prevail in June, July, and August, and promises substantial “fire by friction” for the world. This will spur us all to mobilize in some way, under the pressure of an influx of spiritual energies that will reshape all our perceptions. This will lead to promises to be redeemed down the road in 2017.
By late September they will be in quadraelftile, and by mid-October again approaching a trine. This Fire trine will predominate all of late 2016 through 2017, and then slips into an Earth trine in mid-2017. Great for blending the old and the new, the innovative with the structure!
Saturn trine Uranus shows a time when there is a possibility of harmonizing the old with the new. It indicates a time when what’s established can accept innovations and individualizing impulses to open doors to a wider effectiveness in the future. This one takes what is possible and synthesizes it within a greater law of uniqueness or pioneering initiatives.
The Fire trine opens heart fires, and over the long run we’ll see this aspect unleashing a new type of artistic intensity, even for those who are not artists. This is setting an inspirational pattern wherever we have the middle degrees of the Fire signs in our charts, and will take clearer shape from October 2016 on through December 2017.
Pluto has now finished its years of teaching us harmlessness, kindness, and magnetism that brings forth a more gentle set of interactions through the deeper transformations going on in our lives. Keep purifying yourself in every way, since the less sludge we carry forward the lighter and freer we’ll feel.
As we learn to master Uranus square Pluto, we will be able to see the true causes of any social disorder, constructive versus destructive justifications and motives, and see where mistrust and mischief-making originate. This allows us to grow into a greater power when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use the square between Uranus and Pluto in two big ways, both now and into the future.
We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. In this chart, Uranus is specializing many things in everyone’s lives, so go with the new rather than the established.
Feeling, then Deciding, then Thinking with an Overview of the Lunation
We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This one continues the New Moon pattern.
As a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience involves first feeling our way into decisions and actions. Then after we have made a decision and/or acted on that feeling, it is important to get newer, updated information to come to a new vision or understanding. Once we get the right view or understanding, then a new feeling-experience will naturally arise that points the way to the next action.
So the atmosphere will be one of leading with feelings, then making decisions on the basis of those feelings. The trick with this pattern is not to get trapped in old assumptions and views. In this pattern, once we’ve come to fundamental facts that allow us to act, then we need to find new information, new ideas, new interpretations, and new views.
So “feel your way” into new experiences, then make decisions and act on the basis of those feelings. This pattern is great for learning and teaching through anecdotes, seeing how to handle things practically, or how others are doing that. Let your thinking and communicating and envisioning follow your actions, and let your feelings follow a new understanding, a new perception, or a new view.
Our sense of purpose can keep a lot integrated in the next few months despite the multiple fractures in front of all of us. This is a time of “favorable disintegration,” and by the time Mars goes direct in late June we will not feel as blocked as we have in the past.
We have some remarkably favorable aspects that show many overlapping spiritual realizations are there to be had. Because of the nature of the planetary positions in this Full Moon, we can use the power of the Lunation to see a larger part to play, as well as our independence, our foresight, and our ability to see the best in all kinds of approaches rather than stay stuck in “either-or” attitudes.
Use the courage you’ve been generating since the New Moon, and monitor your expectancies as you find practical, simple, solid, and enjoyable ways to move through this slowed-down time of so many retrogrades. This Full Moon shows us the power and wisdom of our freedom to be positive in our responses, rather than reactive and counterproductive. This can bring us the truth of our connectedness with others, as well as ourselves, and help us eliminate that which separates us from our truth of Being and the Oneness we all are together.
The wisdom we open to will show us it’s a new time, a new way, and a new day in our lives. While there may be delays in fulfilling the promise, it only shows there are things to be reworked, re-planned, and un-done to be re-done, once we get a different look at things. Many will reconnect with some ideas and views they may have forgotten, remember a different way they used to be, or find themselves having to renew an old skill.
Because of so many planets retrograde now and the near future, be willing to go slow, take a new look or a new approach to whatever you need to, and during the coming Earth trines created by the Sun and Mercury retrograde, keep it simple, practical, and enjoyable! Everything in the wisdom we’re learning through deliberate, slow, and steady action will move forward as a result of the challenge to transformation indicated by the coming Mars stationary direct point.
The Three High Moons of Spring
This Wesak Full Moon is said to be the second in the “Three High Moons” of Spring each year. The Wesak releases a year-long global wisdom teaching that will expand its influence in the next Full Moon, also known as the Festival of the World Teacher, or “Christ Fest.” I’ll be posting an article soon on the Three High Moons, and their importance in the evolution of the global human consciousness.
As with all major changes, when something is introduced into our lives, something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities.
While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.
For your contemplation, a final meditation I offer each month at the end of our Full Moon journey of exploration.
We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.
All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.
If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.
Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
