Astrology in Late July 2016 – Mercury Square Mars Ahead!

Yes, Mercury in late Leo is approaching a square to Mars in late Scorpio! What could this mean?

To begin with, it’s an aspect of high tension, impulsiveness, nervous agitation, jagged edges to things, and generally a degree of gear grinding. It can be used productively for many things, as long as haste or snap judgments don’t send things spinning the wrong direction. It can be good for curbing contention and aggressive actions, but only by introducing heart energy that leads to a larger view and a simpler way of doing things. The antidotes for aggression is to keep it simple, pleasant, detached, and friendly, with an eye to the greatest good for the greatest number.

The aspect will be exact on July 29-30 just before Uranus goes stationary retrograde at 25 Aries and just after the Lunar T-square with Saturn and Neptune, so Friday will no doubt be highly active! Pay attention to details, do what you have to do according to plan, and try not to be impulsive or hasty on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, since the aspect will be exact during those days.

As the square falls from 29 Leo to 29 Scorpio, it throws the voids into 29 Aquarius and 29 Taurus. The Sabian Symbols associated with this square clearly indicate there is an impulse that’s about to take shape in concrete form, and represents a mediating influence from Soul forces to short circuit the karmic cause and effect loop active in the situations affected by this square. The voids indicate it’s transformation time, with a need to discuss things from multiple angles of view to dispel any shadow material around those things.

This most impacts those with planets or angles in very late Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, which includes people born around end of the third week of February, May, August, and November. It also will have a powerful impact on those with planets or angles near the middle degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.

It also puts the ruler of Gemini and Virgo into friction with the ruler of Aries and Scorpio. That means any planets these disposit also will feel the friction. Any stress or tension can be resolved by letting a positive Mercury expression put the brakes on a negative Mars expression, or a positive Mars expression to put the brakes on a negative Mercury expression.

The highest and best way to use this aspect is to allow a positive Mars expression to be made manifest through a positive Mercury expression. I will no doubt be using it to write with intensity, and edit with equal intensity. Chopping the deadwood out of projects is a great way to use this energy!

This brings many things to a culmination at the threshold of Mars entering Sagittarius and beginning its conjunction with Saturn which will mobilize a new set of duties in all our lives, or at least a new structure of expansion that will take shape this Autumn, Winter, and next Spring. So say goodbye to the Mars in Scorpio era, since we have major Sagittarius energies rolling through soon!

Oh my this is in my 4th house squaring my natal
Saturn at 29 d Aquarius!!!! Also, I have my moon at 18 cap in the fifth.
Well it's a good thing I'm going to a healing session with a gentleman I have been working with. Let's hope this stuff turns out well.

My daughters sun is at 29 aquarius and my other daughters moon at 28 degrees... I have my jupi at 27 taurus... :-)
