On August 13, Saturn will go stationary direct at 10 Sagittarius. As I told you in part 1, the tight sesquisquare since mid-June of Saturn on its station with Uranus on its station is a frictional spur to action for us all, wherever they fall.
Saturn is about to resume its forward motion, and will re-trace ground it covered since it went stationary retrograde in late March 2016 at 17 Sagittarius. Since then, we’ve been challenged to allow inspiring teachings to transform our everyday lives, and taken a new look at a need for some sort of action that will renew our vision or our faith. Now that it’s direct, we will take a new look at past lessons Saturn showed us since March, with an eye to demonstrating maturity, organization, and patience in taking command of our life trajectory.
Saturn will be in its 2016 “shadow zone” until it again moves across 17 Sagittarius the third week of November, after which it begins its movement in the Leo decan of Sagittarius where it will remain until the December 2017 Solstice. For now, we stand on the threshold of a third experience of the span from 10 to 17 Sagittarius, which includes the individual, mental, and spiritual span of the first half of Sagittarius, and the actional span of the second half of that sign.
The current station at 10 Sagittarius is also the degree where Mars will conjunct Saturn on August 24, indicating we now stand at a new beginning, where if we’re ambitious we’ll “win the prize.” This should jumpstart a two year focus of the affairs of the house where 10 Sagittarius falls in our charts. So “be ambitious” (whatever that means to you), and then for most of September revisit what you learned about “the wisdom of the body,” where you awakened to your instinctive wisdom in a new way.
Beginning with the September Equinox, revisit the new law you’ve launched this year, and in October remember a new identity that’s been brought forth, as well as a technique for tapping into your spiritual ancestry. Early November take a new look at whatever you’ve been anticipating since the Spring, be alertly ready to act and don’t fall into distress at “not knowing,” and by late November you’re rebirth should be crystallized into a form allowing rapid expansion into the future.
The good thing is that by late September Saturn and Uranus will not be in sesquisquare. This aspect is part of the 8th harmonic series, and I’ve observed it brings friction but not necessarily crisis. In part 3, we’ll discuss this and more.
For now, we’ll close with something I offered you yesterday. Saturn symbolizes the universal binding force in Nature, the “Ring Pass Not” of Dharma. Dharma is our “true function,” that overarching Truth of Self that permits all things if they serve Dharma and no thing if it does not serve Dharma. Saturn is our “skin of personality,” the boundaries of what we are able to master, found through the ten thousand things that temporarily enslave us through various types of mental, emotional, or material inertia.
Uranus is the Higher Law, Saturn is the worldly law. Uranus helps us break free, break out, and break through the binding force Saturn represents. Saturn helps us give structure through discipline to our eternal discoveries along our Path to Truth. In one esoteric system, Saturn is Divine Understanding, whereas Uranus is Divine Wisdom. Both serve each other in the Great Work each of us is here to do.
I am close to completing a major work on Saturn that discusses these things and more. It is a work in 2 parts: the first part deals with Saturn, its qualities, how it relates to Dharma, the “Ring Pass Not,” and various types of Karma, as well as ways we may use our inner Saturn to claim our spiritual individuality and become our purpose for being alive. Part 2 deals with Saturn transits, especially the important changes we go through as Saturn conjuncts, squares, and opposes all the planets in our charts as it moves through the houses throughout our lives. There’s more, of course, which I’ll be introducing over the next few weeks.
It is written for those who know astrology, as well as those who don’t but want to know how to take command of their inner vehicles so they can become their spiritual ideal in the world. Consider it a reference manual for your inner Saturn, and ways to transmute your planetary functions into their perfected ideal as you understand that ideal to be in your own Path to Truth.
For now, take a look back at what you first encountered between mid-December and late March, and see how the slowdown of April through June has helped you get ready for the adventure promised now that Saturn is direct in motion. This is the Cosmic Timekeeper on the move, so it’s also time for us to move!
See you soon with part 3!

Incredibly clear and full of meaning to the unfoldment of events.
It is also interesting the way you "read" Saturn and Uranus as Divine understanding/knowledge and Divine wisdom. It all rings many bells.
Glad there is a coming book on Saturn.
Blessings be to all.

Saturn's connection to our outers is a cosmic kiss for sure...

Love reading your posts, so incredibly detailed. I was wondering your thoughts on the significance of this Saturn station being exactly on my ascendant (AC is 10 Sag 12'32")? The degree it went stationary retrograde was also essentially on my Mars as well (Mars at 16 Sag 37'44").

Oh wow, very interesting. My personal transformation during the past few years has changed from making small changes into observing myself turning into someone who I admire a lot, but who's not an easy person. Saturn has been cruising through my Ascendant several times now, conjuncting several other planets. I am not a person I used to be. Thank you for helping figure out where this process goes...
