Pluto represents the Divine Power of ultimate regeneration, and is the Lord of the Underworld we all must pass through at least once in our life if we are to be a purified vessel and become authentic to our core. It just went stationary direct 2 days ago. What does this hold for us?
Pluto’s exact retrograde station occurred at 7:59 am PDT, 3:59 pm BST, on September 26. As is the case with all the outer planets when they turn stationary direct or retrograde, it marks a major “sea change” in those invisible Spiritual transpersonal energies. We are all about to have a different but familiar Plutonic experience where we are shown anew the span Pluto has traversed since December 2015.
The first part of the year, it moved from 15 Capricorn to 18 Capricorn. It then retrograded back to 15 Capricorn, where it just went stationary direct. It will remain in its “shadow zone” through January 2017, and then enter unknown zones that humanity has not experienced since 1771. It would seem that revolutionary times are upon us over the next 10-20 years!
That span in Capricorn is where personal power gets translated into group energy through activities. Pluto has effectively entered the second half of Capricorn for the long haul, and is still in the heart of the Taurus decan of that sign, giving both stability and stubbornness to the Pluto in Capricorn expression.
It is now stationary direct on a degree of “tender care” for fresh dreams, and life’s goodness as we move through times of self-regeneration. It is a degree of taking responsibility, and life’s abundant cooperation with any efforts we make to develop our potential regardless of any “transient accident of circumstance.”
At this direct station, occurring only 5 hours before Mars enters Capricorn, we are offered a blessing for the future as we stand on the threshold of a new social power. It also portends major developments in the near future as Mars makes a conjunction to Pluto in just a few weeks, setting a new two year cycle into motion.
This means we’re at the very end of the last Mars-Pluto cycle which began with their conjunction in November 2014 at 12 Capricorn. That implies the past two years we’ve been learning lessons about right use of power or force through seeing the natural laws at work in any given circumstance.
The coming conjunction moves the cycle forward 4 degrees, and promises us all some form of training so we can function in an organized way with others in society. That cycle will last until April 2018, when Mars will conjunct Pluto on its stationary retrograde degree at 22 Capricorn.
I believe this will be a very dynamic Pluto direct period, given the chart for the direct station shows Pluto’s ruler Saturn to be very powerful on an equally powerful Sabian symbol degree. The coming months will launch a lot of new developments; just be cautious during the times the planets in Libra square Pluto, since that can lead to misfires, misunderstandings, and defensiveness when none is warranted.
Take note of what happens around Oct 6-8 and 14-17, since those time periods will have some relationship to what we can expect when Jupiter squares Pluto between late October and early December. Beware of opportunities that are not opportunities, or not as advertised. Secret agreements will blow up, so be open and above-board in making sure that all negotiations and offers are truly in your best interests.
As I offered earlier, Pluto represents the Lord of the Underworld, as well as global pressures for radical purification and transformation. Its stay in Capricorn has brought forth the worst in governments, dictatorships, control systems, and financial systems. Each time transiting Pluto is put under pressure from squares, it can lead to the demonstration of heavy handed actions, or a curbing of those actions.
With Jupiter making three squares from Libra to Pluto between October and August 2017, things will be expanding wildly and radically at times, facilitated by transits through Aries and Cancer which will create major Cardinal T-squares! Remember too that any hard Pluto transit can bring up deep fears, and as we are thinking, feeling interactive Beings, if we feel at all we will feel the widespread fear and dread associated with the collective instability and uncertainty.
Because both Saturn and Pluto are associated with our deepest, darkest fears, I devoted quite a few pages to the best ways we can manage these energies to our benefit in my new book Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend. Everyone on Earth at some point must confront the need to go into their personal “underworld” to come out with a purified ego that can serve as an adequate vehicle for the expression of our Higher Self. Difficult Pluto transits offer us opportunities to come out of fear and dread, purified of the dross of the lower self. My book offers valuable tools to navigate these difficult transits, so please consider getting your copy by going to the above link. If you want to know more about it, visit the article just below this one.
The coming Pluto direct period will bring many things to fulfillment, and either recalibrate or balance many things. The pendulum of life will be swinging wildly for many months, and we’re all moving into a new spiritual world due to what we’ve mastered before now. We’re all still receiving concentrated doses of spiritual energy, and will have many opportunities to find those who share our heart fire.
Though there may be loses and renunciations, we’re all seeing a different set of life rhythms and responses. Pluto now moves forward anew, and again begins to make a septile to Neptune, setting future manifestations of The Grand Irrationality into play three times in 2,, 3, and 4th weeks of October and November. Destiny is on the move!

I wish I had your book in my hands! But being a patient friend of Saturn and waiting till my book budget is replenished Friday. As a Cappy, with Leo Rising, and Saturn in Leo, I've been making both Saturn AND Pluto my friend these past years. It's been interesting to say the least! ;) Thank you Robert for all you do to help your readers understand how we fit in the bigger pattern of existence. You are the bomb! XO

Very interesting post on Pluto a planet that often seems forgotten or avoid. Its current moves provide great opportunities for the collective and that is a good thing.
Blessings be to all.

Thank you Robert for the valuable info. I am happy to see I am in the flow when I read your articles. The truth is, this Pluto transit is very interesting to me. I think there will be changes in my finances. I hope for good. Tr. Pluto in natal 8H will oppose my natal Mars at 20o Cancer in 2nd H. and at the same time square my natal Venus in 19o Aries in 11th. I am trying to make a radical career change, from a civil servant to a free lancer. And Tr. Uranus has been conj. my n. Sun at 25o Aries in 11th. Great times ahead!!! :)
