Astrology of the Future in January-February 2017 - Venus in the Shadow Zone - Aquarius Papers

On Sunday, Venus entered its “shadow zone,” or the zone where it will be retrograde between early March and mid-May. What does this mean?

Like Mercury when it’s in its shadow zone, it means we’re getting the first pass of Venus over the span it will traverse 3 times in the next 2 ½ months. It also means Venus is now beginning to slow down more and more rapidly over the next few weeks before it goes retrograde on March 4 at 14 Aries. Use the next few weeks to get your Venusian ruled areas ready for reviews, reversals, and new looks back and/or valuable returns coming during the retrograde.

I’ll write more about the actual Venus retrograde period and what it promises in a couple of weeks when it’s closer to its retrograde station. Until then, remember that Venus approaches the very important “dream time” degree at 30 Pisces between 3 am PST Feb 2 and 7:52 am PST Feb 3, when it too enters Aries. This will in some way secure whatever was initiated when Mars moved through the final degree of Pisces on Jan 26-27. I offered you some things related to this in the recent article Astrology in January 2017 - Mars at the End of Pisces Leading Us Through the Dreamscape. Still, because Venus will move back and forth across this all important zone in late Pisces and early Aries, hold back judgment and open to reconsidering Venusian expressions and interpretations from the past with an eye to dumping psychic baggage you no longer need.

So Mars has already launched the Aries energy for this year, and as it’s the sign Mars rules, you can expect Aries to be front and center for many weeks to come! It’s an “early Spring” here in the Northern Hemisphere, so make the most of it, since once Venus slows down, those areas will be subject to slowing and even reversals in some cases.

After the Inferior conjunction between Venus and the Sun on March 25 at 5 Aries, on March 27 Mercury enters its shadow zone at 25 Aries, preparing to go retrograde at 5 Taurus on April 9-10 just before the Full Moon. So Venus will gradually speed up at the end of March through the first half of April, just as Mercury begins to slow down preparing to go retrograde for most of April. Definitely a swirl of activity, a dance of dervishes that will leave many wondering if the future will look anything like the past. (The short answer is NO. I’ll explain more in future articles.)

So with Venus at the end of the end of its exaltation sign of Pisces, open to the expansive and compassionate vast feeling field you’ve moving through at present. Mars activated the Pisces sector in all our maps on December 19, and Venus followed on January 3, making the Pisces experience more pleasing, enjoyable, or valuable since then.

Forgive much as you experience and move within the universal feeling field. Allow whatever needs to flow down the timestream to go with your blessings, since we will not need excess baggage in the near future. Mercury’s coming stationary retrograde point makes it clear that April will be time to say goodbye and bury the past. This will allow “the redemption of a promise” that Uranus set into motion in all our lives in the Summer of 2016.

Stay alert for the chance to dream a better dream of what you want to see made manifest in the future. We now have zodiacal sectors active showing the end of the end and the beginning of the beginning, with Venus softening the endings and Mars jumpstarting the beginnings! We have been and continue to shape our future according to the vision we have and our willingness to sound the “Creative Word” that will take shape over the next months and years.

Thanks Robert. Not only is it interesting and helpful information, it is a blessing and a good thing that this Cosmic Cantina has its eyes in the stars and thus provides a higher and truer vision of what is evolving and manifesting and keeping the glamour, illusion (delusion too), of worldly events that are "only" part of the moving forward.
