Pluto Stationary Retrograde – Taking A New Look At 2017 Pressures

Pluto represents the Divine Power of ultimate regeneration, and is the Lord of the Underworld we all must pass through at least once in our life if we are to be a purified vessel and become authentic to our core. Right now it’s stationary retrograde. What does this hold for us?

Pluto’s exact retrograde station occurs at 5:46 am PDT, 1:46 pm BST, on April 20. As is the case with all the outer planets when they turn stationary direct or retrograde, it marks a major “sea change” in those invisible Spiritual transpersonal energies. We are all about to have a different but familiar Plutonic experience where we are shown anew the span Pluto first traversed February through July 2016, and then again from December 2016 to now.

Since December, Pluto moved from 17 Capricorn to 20 Capricorn. It now is going back over that span between now and late September, when it goes stationary direct at 17 Capricorn. After that it will be in its “shadow zone” through February 2018, when it will again enter unknown zones that humanity has not experienced since 1772. It would seem that revolutionary times are upon us over the next 10-20 years!

The 5 degree “face” between 16-20 Capricorn is where personal power gets translated into group energy through activities. Pluto has entered the second half of Capricorn for the long haul, and is still in the heart of the Taurus decan of that sign, giving both stability and stubbornness to the Pluto in Capricorn expression.

It is going stationary retrograde on a degree of rehearsal, preparation, and fulfilling our creativity through being part of some collective “performance” demonstrating “a transcendent realization of unity.” This degree is said to symbolize “a ray of hope through all difficulty,” the harmony of the Music of the Spheres, and a quickening to fulfilling opportunities. Check your expectations, since the seeds of what you’re preparing for will begin to sprout a few months from now.

I believe this will be a very dynamic Pluto retrograde period, given the chart for the retrograde station is extremely close to the chart for the Inferior Conjunction of Mercury with the Sun. You can find a lot about what’s going on in yesterday’s article, since I elaborated on the aspects, element emphasis, Jones pattern, and all the other important factors in the current sky patterns.

That said, the Moon has changed degrees, and therefore makes different aspects to the other planets. It is at 14 Aquarius, making this retrograde period one of direct accomplishment for those who have a vision, a plan, and a good time to execute the plan. It is quintile both Mercury and the Sun, and in the 3rd Quarter phase, showing this rx period to be totally future oriented, and bringing forth “seed structures” for use in 2018.

Obviously, Venus exactly square Saturn is a powerful influence in the atmosphere, and the Moon barely separating from bisecting the square indicates recent multiple frictional events opening a new Saturn manifestation and closing an old Venusian manifestation. Like the coming weeks under the influence of the Inferior Conjunction, this also indicates that the coming RX period will help us understand how transformational experiences in the past released us from pressures we no longer needed to bear, or the seeds of those things that need to be released this year.

We also will see the power of our personality in times of crisis, whether past crises where we had to demonstrate our will, or the seeds of future situations where we’ll have to demonstrate will power. As Venus is quintile Pluto, there will be gifts to be had that will show us how to link beauty and structure in some functional way.

So Pluto helps Venus and releases that specializing energy through Saturn, while Saturn is strengthened by its Fire trine with Uranus, releasing that stable inspired linking of uniqueness and structure through Venus exalted in Pisces. Overall, the square is actually helping us release some very powerful and positive energies!

Venus is also sextile Mars, which is approaching a triseptile with Saturn, helping anchor the form of the future which will be vitalized about 4 weeks from now. Topping it all off is the Jupiter quintile Saturn, making for a very favorable specializing time for those who know how to retire from old dramas, finding peace in knowing they’re done.

There are two notable factors in play at present. First, Mercury has been biseptile Pluto and septile Neptune for a while, triggering the Grand Irrationality during this Mercury retrograde period. Second, at this Pluto station, the Sun has now begun to form a biseptile to Pluto, and in a few days will be septile Neptune, powering up and vitalizing the energy of The Grand Irrationality again. As it also happened last year, it indicates at the times Pluto goes stationary retrograde, humanity stands at critical forks in the road of its collective destiny, and it would seem the coming Pluto RX period will unleash powerful forces of transformation. We are seeing that in the news right now, just as we did last year when there were two massive earthquakes on opposite sides of the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” as well as other major events too numerous to list here.

From here, we review the seeds we’ve already sensed related to releasing inhibitions, finding social protection, and quickening the pace. Look at past inhibitions overcome, or the seeds of current inhibitions that need releasing. Look back at protections that have come your way the past year, or ways that you have accelerated the pace of your evolution by rising to some task that seemed beyond your capability.

The coming Pluto RX period can help us find a new rhythm of life that preserves energy for best use, and should bring us a whole new understanding of the power we have when we join together with others in group efforts. This will bring many to become interested in more permanent forms of wisdom, as well as a compassionate linking with others for mutual benefit. Just allow natural forms of celebration to come forth, and all will feel a sense of fellowship as everyone plays their part.

Thanks Robert. A good "complement" to consider and add to understand the energies at play from the current Mercury retrograde. The sky has a complex dance but it is well orchestrated and understanding allows for us to dance with rhythm :)
