Thanks to a friend asking a question about Jupiter in Libra, I realized I should give you something about a long wave event that has affected or will affect every single person on Earth.
He asked “Who else is trying to find the perfect balance while Jupiter is in Libra? … between work and leisure, between time spent alone or with others, or between a hard and a soft Brexit and so on.” He felt that with Jupiter in Libra, “there is a need to do the right thing....”
I answered, “I have experienced it as finding the right rhythm of responding to life's urgencies, and remembering to keep everything in perspective. Also yes, to be balanced in my assessments of the collective (I have Neptune in Libra.)”
He asked if I thought it to be “an inspiring transit,” and how another who has had the transit of Jupiter over Neptune in Libra “ignited even more belief in equality and fairness,” and how “many of us are wary of the chaos that has been unleashed and are holding to those principles that Jupiter in Libra symbolizes.”
I told him that “It liberated my life by expanding my material losses (Neptune as spiritual ruler of my 8th) so that I could grow in vaster ways. And it's been the beginning of a long wave regeneration after 10 years of wandering through some unhealthy climes. And yes, I have been upholding my idea of a higher collective ideal since the Autumn of 2016 when it first began its conjunction."
From there I got to thinking about possible ways Jupiter in Libra could manifest, such as “expansive balance,” or “optimistic elegance,” or “protective interactions,” or even “spiritual diplomacy.” There are many ways Jupiter in Libra can manifest, just as it can in any sign. If a sign expression is virtually infinite within the boundaries of its nature, then certainly Jupiter would show our imagination a wide open field of possible ways to live that energy, just as Saturn would show us the limits of those ways.
Of course, Libra doesn’t necessarily mean things are balanced, but rather it’s the search for “the perfect proportion,” or the “perfect equilibrium” where all factors are weighed and judged, and the conclusions are a blend of all the different possibilities. I believe we’ve seen an increase in the collective sense of questing for balance, and even “expansive idealism,” though of course each of these is certain to put all of us through events that test us to find and maintain these in our lives.
If Jupiter is what teaches us philosophically, then Jupiter in Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, etc. will teach us truths and broader visions within each of these sign filters. And if Jupiter also rules the harvest at the end of the season, or the abundance (or lack thereof) at the end of a cycle, then since the Autumn of 2016 we are learning about the Libra factors in any harvest.
Through opening doors of higher and broader perception and leading us into life adventures, Jupiter teaches us about our freedom to learn in the infinite playground of life. What and how it teaches has to do with the sign it occupies. We have been learning through “Cardinal Air,” and in a few months we’ll begin a year of learning through “Fixed Water.” This will lead us to an entirely new set of teaching and learning adventures in deep waters!
This train of thought led me to think about a very powerful event that has touched everyone on Earth in recent years, and will continue to touch us all in future years. In part two, we’ll explore more about a phenomenon that has literally affected every single person on Earth, and who will be impacted in the future, and when. Until next time…..
