Of course, many have expressed this question before now, since both the Lunar and Solar Eclipses affected many of the President’s sectors, especially his first house. Anyway, I had a particularly strong hit this morning and did a horary….
In traditional rules of horary via Lilly, one should not judge the chart if the “first few degrees or the last few degrees” of a sign are on the Ascendant, as the matter is not yet ripe in the first degrees and the matter is too far gone in the last. Still, I have found exceptions to this rule over the years, especially if the Ascendant is close to a planetary position in either the person who is the subject of the horary, or the astrologer asking the question. In other words, if 5 Libra is rising in the horary, then if the subject of the horary has a planet within a degree of 5 Libra, it is a valid chart to analyse.
That is the case in this horary, “Is The Eclipse the End of the Trump Presidency?” We see 5 Libra on the Asc, 5 Aries on the Dsc, 5 Capricorn on the IC, and 5 Cancer on the MC. We see the President’s Neptune is a 6 Libra, very close to the Asc of the horary, showing that the President is currently in a Neptunian state of consciousness. In theory, it externalizes through the Dsc, showing the President is attempting to evolve values which are not yet substantiated.
The chart is grounded in the IC at 5 Capricorn, “the tribe on the warpath,” which also seems to symbolize what’s going on. And the “why,” shown by the MC, is the “auto wrecked by a train,” showing a “Karmic adjustment” to “curb recklessness.” It is said here we are “brought to account for our obligations to society.” I’d said that’s definitely happening in the professional power sector in the chart. If the 10th are the authorities and judges of the matter, it’s clear that they are demanding the President be brought to account for his obligations to society as a whole.
Turning to more traditional methods, we see the ruler of the Asc is Venus at 25 Cancer, the exact midpoint of the President’s Venus-Saturn conjunction. That also confirms the validity of the chart, since the ruler of the Asc in the 10th often indicates the public standing or position of power of the subject of the question. We also see the Sun of the horary is one degree away from the President’s Asc, again confirming the chart is able to be judged with validity.
The Moon indicates “the feelings of the moment,” as well as the mood of the public. It is 28 Leo, about a half degree away from the President’s Mars. It sure seems the public reaction to his recent pronouncements have been inflamed, and are inflaming and aggravating him to no end! That it is an “old Moon” shows these endings of one phase will be carried over into a new one to come after the New Moon.
As we know all too well, the Saturn of the horary is the exact degree of the President’s Moon, less than half a degree away from his South Node. This will persist as a transit for about a month, showing long term pressure on the President’s Moon.
Saturn conjunct the Moon is either confining him (Saturn’s “Ring Pass Not” function described in my book), draining him (Saturn’s quality of feeding us “crushed stone” until we refuse that starvation action), or if he’s open to maturing (no snickers, please) this can be THE hard emotional lessons that teach him who he is, who he isn’t, and help him to make crucial decisions to find a way to structure his capacity to nurture others appropriate to his station in life.
Venus is the ruler of the Asc, showing the President to be in his Venus conjunct Saturn in Cancer mode of response. It is disposited by the Moon, associated with the President’s Mars. This shows the defensive and bellicose nature of his recent responses. It’s also why he’s playing the sentimental “great works of art and the loss of our culture and beauty” card when monuments to treason are coming down.
Venus as the ruler is mostly unafflicted, except by a sesquisquare to Neptune and square to Uranus, both coming at 29 Cancer. This shows what is to come, with the distance between the current and perfected positions representing a period of time.
Time is extremely difficult to determine in a horary chart, with traditional rules sometimes working, and other times not seeming to work at all. In this chart we have the Cardinal signs on the angles, supposedly showing a faster pace of unfoldment than the Fixed or Mutable signs on the angles. And with the Asc in a Cardinal sign, and the ruler of the Asc in a Cardinal sign, the influence is doubly confirmed. Events are now unfolding at a very fast pace, and will continue to.
For you horary students out there, the Astrologer is symbolized by either the 7th house cusp and its ruler, and/or planets in the 7th house. In this case, the 7th is Aries (I’m an Aries!), Uranus is in Aries in the 7th (within a degree of my Mercury and MC) and the ruler of the 7th is in Leo (I’m a Leo rising).
On a broader level of interpretation, the 7th are also the forces opposing the President, and the ruler is Mars at 21 Leo. Yes, there have been some “intoxicated chickens” running around in their opposition to the President, and the “ego flapping around” will not be sustainable. Still, Mars in the horary is very powerful in the Grand Fire Trine, showing the cause is noble and just, if sometimes a bit overly dramatic.
I believe the “time triggers” on when major events will unfold have to do with transits to the Venus in the horary, thus we will see some dramatic events occur in the middle of September (Jupiter at 25 Libra with Mercury and Mars conjunct on the horary Mercury and Venus on the NN, Sun and Moon). I would also think other things will happen as Jupiter fulfills its opposition to Uranus, both transiting and in the chart (last week of September and first 10 days of October), followed by Mercury and the Sun transiting the horary Jupiter, squaring the horary Venus, and opposed the horary Uranus (Oct 10-22).
This sequence fulfills itself with Venus (ruler of the horary Asc) conjunct the horary Jupiter the last 2 days of October and square the horary Venus and oppose Uranus the first 6 days of November, leading into the major events of Mars conjunct the horary Jupiter between Nov 22-26, square the horary Venus the last 3 days of Nov and first 3 days of Dec, and opposition the horary Uranus Dec 4-9.
As the last half of November and all of December feature Mercury in its shadow zone or in retrograde motion, you can bet there will be things uncovered in December from the past related to Saturn in late Sagittarius, which brings the President’s Moon/SN back into play. Important points where transiting Mercury conjuncts the horary Saturn and President’s Moon/SN are November 20-22, December 11-13, and January 3-4. The Sun will illuminate the horary Saturn on December 11-13 (Inferior conjunction alert at 22 Sag!), to be triggered when Venus crosses the zone December 17-18 and when Mars crosses the zone the last 2 days of February and first 4 days of March.
Also of importance in the process is the next grouping of planets squaring the horary Jupiter and Uranus, and opposing the horary Venus. Venus and the Sun will make these aspects between January 9-19, which by January will also include transiting Pluto squaring the horary Jupiter literally all of 2018
We’ll close this brief lesson by noting the end of the matter is shown by the 4th house, which is ruled by Saturn (another indicator of its importance in the chart) and Pluto’s occupancy there. It is on a degree of the protection of/by political power, but that doesn’t mean an absolute protection of the individual. In this case it could also symbolize the system which is beginning to become aware of its need to protect itself and its institutions of governing.
The Sun is sesquisquare Pluto in this chart. The Sun rules the 11th house, which is said to rule the Senate in a national map or a horary on government (which this chart is). The sesquisquare is an aggravation that won’t quit. I’d say this whole thing is an aggravation to the Senate.
Study what happens when Mercury, then the Inferior Conjunction, and then Venus, conjunct the horary Saturn, which is the President’s Moon/SN. It will provide a timeline for what to expect when Mercury again crosses it in early January, and when Mars conjuncts the horary Saturn in early March. Pluto in the 4th is very powerful, so I’m grateful it’s in a long term quindecile with Pluto. Seeds of highly specialized unique qualities come forth in this aspect, which can be seen as planets transit near the horary Saturn and Pluto over these next months.
Class dismissed!

Awesome analysis! For me, it really turns on this: ". . . if he’s open to maturing (no snickers, please) this can be THE hard emotional lessons that teach him who he is, who he isn’t, and help him to make crucial decisions to find a way to structure his capacity . . . ". The dates are very interesting! By knowing what to look for, I think we'll see by early September whether he's willing to honor the Saturn energy and grow up. I'm reminded that it was Pluto transiting Richard Nixon's SN - not Saturn. Pluto in the 4th (making him feel like an orphan?) but on a helpful degree seems like he may just be increasingly isolated but not deposed . . . Thank you so much for all your work!
