Jupiter Stationary Retrograde in March 2018 at 24 Scorpio – Looking Back At Life Transfigurations and Going Deeper to Prepare for the Next Adventure

On March 8 at 8:46 pm PST, March 9 at 4:46 am GMT, Jupiter goes stationary retrograde at 24 Scorpio and will remain retrograde until early June when it will go direct at 14 Scorpio. What does this mean?

First, it means that the Jupiter in Scorpio adventure we’ve been doing since last October has now hit a high water mark, and we will begin to review all the Jupiter related things that have come up since mid-December, when Jupiter went into its shadow zone for the first time. Since then we’ve gotten a look at the span between 14 and 24 Scorpio, and now get another look at that same span of experience, but from a retrograde angle instead of a direct angle.

This span involves the individual, mental, and spiritual section of the Scene of Communion and both the actional, material, and physical level and the emotional, social, and cultural level of the Scene of Faith. When Saturn was in this span from late October 2013 through early November 2014, we had a solid pattern set in our lives wherever we have that span in Scorpio.

Interestingly, this is the third phase of a long wave process. Saturn in Scorpio set certain patterns; because Mars went stationary direct at 24 Scorpio in June 2016, those Saturn lessons were activated. Now Jupiter is on that degree, and we can a) see the connecting links related to how the long wave Saturn in Scorpio lessons forged what we have grown into since then via the Mars activation in the Summer of 2016, and b) get a different angle on the Jupiter in Scorpio truths we’ve embraced, seeing a deeper and wider understanding and potential in our Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces sectors.

We now review the potentials, protections, blessings, opportunities, and newer, more expansive ways of seeing and expressing ourselves and our relationship to desire, loss, and magnetism, and our way of dealing with the need to eliminate all that would block us moving powerfully into greater truths for where we’re at right now. While Jupiter in Libra taught us ways of being balanced as we move through our world, and new perspectives in our life interests, Jupiter in Scorpio has taken us beyond the ideals and forms into a deeper experience of connection within ourselves and in our worldly affairs.

This should bring a sense of confidence and well-being for those who have embraced the inner relationship adventure Jupiter in Scorpio has offered us. We now can take a new look at what has opened for us, with the theme of 24 Scorpio paramount for what we are to learn from now through October 2018.

Again, Saturn taught us our need to draw on our spiritual teachings to transform our everyday life 2013-2014. Also in 2014, we had the Wesak Festival with the Moon at 24 Scorpio, focusing the Ageless Wisdom World Teaching for that year. Those energies set into form via Saturn and the Wesak involved lessons leading us to “spiritual adulthood” were activated by Mars beginning the Summer of 2016, forcing us to make our inspired truths real. Now we can see truths, futures, and greater opportunities and life adventures in the coming months based directly in how we transformed our lives since 2013.

The Sabian Symbol for Jupiter’s Stationary Retrograde Degree

The symbol for the 24th degree of Scorpio is “Crowds coming down the mountain to listen to one man.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this degree is one of “the power in well-formulated ideas to become actual facts,” “practical inspiration; or else inability to face a vital challenge.”

In his Astrological Mandala, he offers that this degree is one of “the need to incorporate inspiring experiences and teachings into everyday living.” He says this is about assimilating “peak experiences,” and allowing that to “transform our everyday consciousness and behavior,” and tells us that the challenge of this symbol is to allow our Soul’s illumination to transfigure our lives. He states this degree falls in the Span of Appreciation, Act of Group-Integration, Scene of Faith on the Emotional-Social level.

Dr. Jones says this degree is about “recognition for intellectual attainment, and of the supremacy of spiritual over other more tangible forms of authority.” He states that “any higher realization must be brought to earth both for its initial confirmation and its ultimate sharing,” and “aspiration is meaningless until it achieves some practical focus” in familiar realms and events.

He offers the keyword of APPEAL. He states that when this degree works positively, it is “an almost spectacular ability to enlist the higher potentialities of everyone for some practical need of the moment.” This degree involves faith, magnetism, deeper connectedness, social responsibility, universality, and sustaining ideals.

So we enter a 4 month period of going deeper into our long wave transfiguration of allowing our spiritual experiences and teachings to transform our lives so our personalities may perfectly align with our Higher Self and the truths which inspired us before now. Move through your world living the highest truths you can, allowing your Soul to express through your Higher Self using your mind, feelings, and bodies as a perfectly attuned vehicle to demonstrate your spiritual truths.

Summing Up

As it now moves back into a triseptile with Uranus and a sextile to Pluto, destiny is in motion! Due to recent trines from Mercury and Venus in Pisces, and the forming Sun trine Jupiter, what we must do should be perfectly clear. We may have come to an understanding of why we had to transform our everyday lives in 2013-2016, or we may see opportunities open because of those transfigurations.

Because Jupiter is retrograde, it’s a review, and may accompany returns of some sort. So whether you’re looking back at your long wave transfiguration, or finding that your process has brought you to a threshold of opportunity, vision, or truth, you are now glimpsing a future that will manifest in a big way later in 2018! Jupiter in Scorpio counsels to “let go, let God,” and create the space so that the Mystery may be made manifest in the right way and time perfect for your evolution into the next phase of your deeper and higher awareness.

Hi Robert, this retrograde station has been forming a grand trine transit in my chart with my Sun at 24 Pisces, ascendant at 24 Cancer and also Mars at 23 Cancer. I'm staring an exciting new job soon, turning 40 next week, life has been good. I just hope it lasts!

Thank you, Robert. I'm using the logic that you've been teaching in many of your articles, so here are my 2 cents: this Jupiter in Scorpio Rx follows in the steps of Pluto hovering over the same degrees of Scorpio in July-August 1993. Even as far back as then I was being prepared for what came about in 2013-2014, and on to .. what is ripe for fruition now. My Sun, Mercury and North Node are 25, 19 and 21 Scorpio, accordingly. And, my Ascendant is in 3 Aquarius :) and *whispering" I was born in the total lunar eclipse of November 18, 1975. Namaste :)
