Art Bell just died. He was one of the major players on late night call in radio in the 90s and 00s. I was a guest on his "Coast to Coast AM" show during the time that show was all the buzz in October 2000, when I predicted the 2000 election mess to his audience of millions several weeks before the election. When asked by the guest host Ian Punnett who would win, I remember saying something like "both candidates will wake up the morning after and wonder who actually won." I was met with skepticism, the election happened, and he had me back on a few weeks later to apologize and ask "who will win?" I remember telling him that Gore was going to be our first uninaugurated President, and he challenged me on that, asking me how that could happen. Of course, history records the accuracy of my statement. Bless you Art Bell for giving me an audience of millions. I wish I had access to his archives, since they were nights to remember. RIP Emissary to our Friends from Outer Space.
Art Bell was certainly a man with Charisma
