Chiron in Aries

Yes, the “wandering wounded healer,” Mentor to the gods and heroes in all of us, the one who “helps us heal into our Higher Self,” just entered Aries.

After going stationary retrograde at 3 Aries in July, it will retrograde back into Pisces in September of this year, where it will remain in the final degrees of Pisces until February 2019, when it re-enters Aries. It will stay in Aries until June 2026, so get used to being mentored through Aries energy!

I wondered what happened the last time Chiron was in Aries, and so began a look back at how I grew and/or healed during that time. You may want to figure out how you grew into new realms of direct action the last time it was in Aries, as a guide to understanding this next turn of the Cosmic Wheel.

The last time Chiron entered Aries was on my birthday in April 1968. That was immediately accompanied by the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and it was still in early Aries when Robert Kennedy was shot in June 1968. It retrograded back into Pisces in October of that year, and after going direct, re-entered Aries in January 1969. It stayed in Aries until late May 1976 when it entered Taurus.

Reflecting back, I can see that when it entered my Sun sign, I began to grow very quickly from a clueless teen to a young man. Most of us graduating high school in the Spring of 1968 had to grow up pdq back then, since we all faced a draft that could send us to the killing floor. Chiron crossed my Sun in the Spring of 1971 through March 1972, and I pulled a lot of my act together so I could graduate college that year. That was also the period when I began to study astrology!

By the time it went SD at 13 Aries in December 1972, my life had been totally changed. I was no longer in an extremely unhealthy marriage, and had already begun to quit certain behaviors and substances that just didn’t work for me anymore. When it conjuncted my Mars in the Spring of 1974, I embraced the Ageless Wisdom in Blavatsky’s, Besant’s, Bailey’s and Paul Case’s works and it’s easy to see how it certainly conformed to the Sabian Symbol involving “concentrated doses of spiritual energy!”

That period naturally led into the conjunction with my Mercury and Midheaven at 30 Aries. During 1975-1976, when Chiron was conjunct my Mars and Mercury in the 9th/10th, I yielded to public demand and began my professional practice and began to teach students. At the same time, I began to promote cultural and spiritual gatherings in public parks, and was the field general and/or medical coordinator for several outdoor shows of over 100,000 people.

It was still conjunct my Mercury and MC in early 1977, and by 1978 was well into Taurus and conjunct my Venus. During that period I was teaching a lot of holistic health classes, as well as spiritual and astrological classes. I was still promoting events in parks, but by 1978 began planning to produce my “Texas Festivals of Metaphysics and Music,” featuring world class speakers and performers in various media at multiple locations across town in late September and early October for 5 days straight, all free!

It sat on my Venus during 1979-1980. I promoted about 100 shows during that time, including more Festivals, and created my Educational foundation at that time. I also was the CO of the field hospital I created for Willie Nelson for his 4th of July Picnics in Austin. We handled hundreds of problems, including a heart attack or two during those years, and as per my original intention, these were the first Picnics where no one died. Not bad for a Chironic manifestation conjunct Venus in my 10th!

Anyway, this is the transition between the Chiron in Pisces era (2010-2018) and the coming period of Chiron in Aries. We’ve spent 7 years dealing with Pisces and healing through Pisces, and now approach a different era. During the rest of this year, open to healing into a new life and a new role, while continuing this Autumn and Winter to finish up your Pisces healing care plan.

The future is NOW! Embrace it with enthusiasm, even if you feel hesitant. Finding objectivity through humor will heal us beginning May 7, and by early June we will be able to glimpse how to identify with a larger life, and become the answer to some social need in our world. As it will retrograde back to 28 Pisces at the end of the year, it may mark a point of needing to see how we’ve been provided for abundantly, so that we can move forward with confidence into the new era in February 2019.

And from here we heal on and on and on and on, superstars that we are....

Chiron is very strong in my chart focal planet of a T-square. Now He triggers this aspect a harmonic way and the AC.
I feel I am in an healing process. With pain without suffering as you tell us in your writings.
