On July 10 at 10:04 am PDT, 6:04 pm BST, Jupiter goes stationary direct at 14 Scorpio and resumes its direct motion lasting through the end of the year. What does this mean?
First, it means that the Jupiter review we’ve been doing since March is now over. We’ve all been in training as per its retrograde station at 24 Scorpio, and have been reviewing the degree span it first traversed between mid-December 2017 and early March 2018. Having reviewed those lessons, potentials, protections, blessings, opportunities, and newer, more expansive ways of seeing and expressing our heart, or creativity, or sense of a greater truth, we now move forward.
This should bring a sense of confidence and well-being for those who have “reviewed, repaired and renewed” their magnetism and desires, and we now stand ready to live with a new emotional potency we’ve concentrated during the past few months of Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio. This should yield new adventures as we now take a third look at the span of 14-24 Scorpio over the next 13 weeks after which we move across the last 7 degrees of Scorpio, and launch into the Jupiter in Sagittarius year at 4:38 am PDT, 12:38 pm BST on November 8.
I believe it’s important to take a look back at our lives between October 2013 and November 2014 when Saturn traversed 14-24 Scorpio to see the foundation to some of what Jupiter has been teaching us from December 2017 to now. We can now use those structures and disciplines to expand into whatever we’re doing these next few months.
Of note, Saturn went stationary retrograde at 24 Scorpio in March 2014, the exact degree Jupiter went retrograde in March 2018. This was also the exact degree where Mars went stationary direct in June 2016. Clearly there is a direct correlation between then and now! That would seem to be some sort of “picking up the trail” type of passage across time related to allowing our spiritual awareness to transform our everyday lives on the emotional, social, or cultural levels of our lives. What began as a Saturn lesson in 2014 had to begin being implemented by Mars in 2016, and now we get the Jupiterian blessings related to those lessons, and how well we implemented them since 2014.
The Sabian Symbol for Jupiter's Direct Degree
Jupiter’s stationary direct degree is 14 Scorpio, and the Sabian Symbol for the 14th degree of Scorpio is “Telephone linemen at work.” According to Rudhyar’s notes from the Marc Jones class, this degree is one of “the will to association regardless of time and space,” “linkage of separate realms,” and “spiritual living ‘in spite of’ nature.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he says this degree involves “the need to establish new channels of communication.” He states this is a degree where “the growth of community feeling among separated human beings require the development of constantly more complex means of interchanging feeling and ideas.”
He goes on to say that this indicates “channels of communication are essential for the success of any interpersonal relationship,” and so must be built and maintained. Here communication is of paramount importance, even if the communication is not convenient or easy. He gives us as keywords “the will to association or comprehension.” He says it falls in the span of Retention, and it’s penultimate (technical) degree of the individual, mental, and spiritual level of the scene of Communion in the Act of Group Integration.
According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the degree is one of “the interconnection which links all phases of existence with all others,” and of our “special genius for expanding the relationship between the most widely separated and distinctive aspects of experience.” He continues that there is “a responsibility on the part of all higher life for all lower, and a faithfulness of all lesser things to the requirements of the greater.”
He says that there is an “emphasis on self-specialization as the root mode of all individual being.” He offers us the keyword of ATTACHMENT. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “an effective penetration of human competence into each pertinent complex of everyday living.
So we'll use our Jupiter function to see how to find new ways and means to communicate, with parts of self, interpersonally, and with Spirit. We’re learning to see opportunity or protect something related to our inner and outer connections, and expand the relationships we need to. This is a time to explore who and what we are responsible for, and where we want to focus our energy to attract a broader, wider life.
The Immediate Future
As Jupiter goes direct is exact septile with Saturn, the entire world, as well as our individual lives, stands at a “fork in the road of destiny.” As these are socio-cultural planets, all of us is at a point of choice and change. If things don’t make sense right now they don’t have to, so don’t sweat “not knowing.”
Those most affected have planets or points around 12-16 Scorpio, 4-8 Capricorn, 26-30 Aquarius, 17-21 Aries, 8-12 Gemini, 29 Cancer-3 Leo, and 21-25 Virgo. As this has been going on a while, Jupiter direct should finally move your destiny forward in a big way as it picks up speed! Just realize this irrationality won’t last forever, and will give way to friction that’s been a long time coming by the time of the Jupiter semisquare Saturn in late August and early September.
We all will benefit from Jupiter’s favorable aspects to both Neptune and Pluto from now through October, so tune into the larger feeling-field and allow your faith and concentration to “rehearse” what needs practice during the quickening of Sept-October. And one really excellent factor is Mars quintile Jupiter all of August and September, promising gifts and “quintessential” developments for those who have done the necessary work during this Mars retrograde period.

Ty very much, Robert.
This article clarifies and offers me stability through what currently feels very unclear and tenuous.

Robert, Thank you again for a such a great article. Can you answer a question: How do we leverage the Jupiter septile Saturn if we have planets/points in the hot zones?
Both my Sun and Asc are smack in the middle of two of the hot zones, and definitely need help from destiny to get my life going, especially with Mars currently retrograde. (I also have a direct hit of the previously mentioned Uranus biseptile Pluto to my natal MC, Mars, and Pluto!)
