Astrology Now In Late October 2018 – A Wild (If Steady) Ride For A Week!

We have a very accelerated week ahead! We have Mercury square Mars right now, followed by Mercury sextile Pluto, Sun entering Scorpio opposed Uranus, Venus sextile Saturn, the Full Moon at 2 Taurus/Scorpio, and the Venus Inferior Conjunction with the Sun. This shows we must navigate swift and strong currents leading us to Cosmic Visitations, after which we’ll understand the past year from a different angle.

First, Mercury square Mars tomorrow from 15 Scorpio to 15 Aquarius. This activates the "4 Holy Creatures" points, with “seeing the 5 senses and the mind as the playground of God and Soul” intersecting and releasing the “beatitude” of Aquarian idealism. The voids are at 15 Taurus and Leo, showing the need to generate gentle loving persistent enjoyment, and stretch a little if called on to “put on the show.”

This is a very practical square, so give a push to activities which will benefit your direct action. Focus on what’s important, don’t get distracted by superficial things, and slow down! Look both ways before crossing the street or signing a paper, but on the other hand, swift action could yield quick rewards.

It all depends on how these two planets aspect other planets in your chart. This releases a lot of energy that must be directed efficiently to achieve the ideal. If you have anything in the middle degrees of any sign, those parts of your life and Being will be most spurred to act. Get your plan, get your aim, and let your arrows fly.

Because this square is followed by the sextile from Mercury to Pluto, clearly that “Lord of the Underworld” is a major influence on how Mercury works. This can yield penetrating insights into structural strengths and flaws, whether in a personality or set of plans. The Sun opposed Uranus indicates a time of solar flares, externalization of genius and/or unique circumstances and situations, and the awakening of the previously mentioned “cosmic visitation” that will leave many in awe of the Divine play.

Sun opposed Uranus challenges us to channel the generic nervous tension into constructive means, whether through eliminating something or grounding something. Find your individual values which mesh with your life ambitions, develop your social intuition, and move into those things which really matter to you.

Venus sextile Saturn gives a steady hand in all relational and material matters. This is a very productive aspect, favoring emotional and social maturity, which will infuse the energies of the coming "Cosmic Visitation" Full Moon. That Lunation indicates the two weeks after will be extraordinarily fluid in productive ways, affecting all our Earth and Water planets in favorable ways.

The Inferior Conjunction of Venus retrograde with the Sun at 4 Scorpio represents a “fusion of Life and Likes” which will give us an entirely different perspective on old social or material matters. This degree was the same as the Sun conjunct Jupiter in October 2017, so we will get a look back at how we’ve opened to opportunities this past year, or what had to be eliminated or regenerated to attract what we’ve been attracting here and now during this Venus retrograde in Scorpio.

I’ll write more about the “Cosmic Visitation” Full Moon next week, as well as the coming Inferior Conjunction . Until then, expect rapidly developing situations while seeing the “magnetic hand of Spirit” at work.

What do you mean by "cosmic visitation"? to my mind it has a metaphysical flavor. Could you please give a couple of imaginary events as an example?

Hi Kate - Anything transformational could be a "cosmic visitation." That degree was also active in every Lunation since June, so we've already had more than one. In my case, during the time this degree has been active, I've been given a prestigious award I never anticipated in any way, been offered interviews in global astrological forums related to important inner and outer events, and on a personal note, was unexpectedly told I had to move before year's end, and in less than 72 hours I was given the opportunity of a lifetime related to that move.

I have been "the visitation" for many in past weeks, and been "visited" by events that left me in awe of the blessedness of walking in conscious grace whenever possible. I have seen the redemption of a promise giving great joy to an old woman after hope was gone. I have heard the shout of life ringing in my ears and heart, as well as the stubbornness of ego mind creating an unnecessary death by yet another form of suicide. I have seen "50 years of frozen yesterdays," while also finding great joy in being accepted to play one of the most important roles anyone could ever play for another person, and know across time and space that "something's lost and something's gained in living every day."

This comment could well be a "cosmic visitation" for anyone who reads it.

Hi Kate - Well, this is much more than the garden variety "anything could change your life." This is a specific "visitation" via an event that in some cases leaves one slack jawed at the Divine hand at work! This is something that compels our attention, or might if we weren't distracted or trying to interpret the unique circumstance in a conventional way.

I think I have such an event, which has indeed left me speechless, of the kind "beware what you wish, because you may get it". As I had one again back in 2012.
