A while back at KISS, friend of the site David Harris opened a thread about our Moon sign, and asked what peace and balance it brings us. And you know how it goes when I get to thinkin’…
I last gave this to you 3 years ago, and have updated it for readability. Before I posted my comment in the original FB thread, another in our astrological community offered that they have Moon in Aquarius opposed to Pluto in Leo. As I also have that “Tension of Opposites” in my chart, I framed my answer accordingly.
I have Moon in Aquarius. (Of course!) Near the Angel point at 14, "the Train entering a Tunnel." I find it helps me stay focused on the big picture and the greatest good for the greatest number. Of course some want me to be more touchy feely when I'm just being detached, genuinely friendly, and looking at what's possible.
I also have Moon opposed Pluto. Those of us with that natal position have learned to take care of ourselves and things we care about in ways we never learned from our parents. Though we may be detached, at least Moon in Aquarius gives everyone a bigger picture!
While the opposition indicates a deep internal polarization from the family of origin, it can also express as humanitarian inclinations and an ability to offer the core of what is needed in the midst of outer chaos. The Moon opposed Pluto forces us to face ultimates in very personal ways, and choose how we want to take care of ourselves as we journey through various types of “the underworld of human existence.”
Then another asked me “Hi Robert, Would Moon opposed Pluto be opposite in its effects to Moon conjunct Pluto? You mention "taking care of things in ways we never learned" so I wondered if it was more about reconstituting Moon things, rather than the destruction of things a Pluto conjunct can bring.”
I offered yes, in a manner of speaking. Both involve the Moon (most personal and intimate part of what we feel) with the cosmic annihilator. So they represent two extreme "phases" of the Moon/Pluto relationship and thus show the mother was "living with the lord or the underworld" or opposed by "the lord of the underworld." In both cases, the Lunar package was heavily influenced by Pluto when very young.
Then another asked “could your Moon opp. Pluto also talk to you in the sense of profound transformation through your emotional radar (Aquarius way of saying it) and astrology?”
I stated that was a very interesting observation, and yes, I've found emotional transformation through astrology. I seem to be able to touch the emotional aspirations of others (Moon in 7th in Aquarius) on the seed level of the heart (Pluto in 1st in Leo). I feel others’ emotional state (Moon/7th) and it triggers my Leo power (Pluto rising) of natural heart-felt self-expression. However, as with all aspects, nothing exists in a vacuum, and so expresses in various ways according to the other aspects to the opposition.
In my chart, that opposition is the axis involving THREE different far-reaching transformational configurations! It is in a rectangle with Sun/Nep, a fixed T with Venus in Taurus. and a hammer of Thor with Venus and Saturn! That's why I have a lot of compassion for various emotional struggles of the human existence. And with the purification required of Moon opposed Pluto, I can be a clear objective mirror for others (Moon in Aquarius in the 7th).
This exchange stimulated my analytical imagination, both in terms of how my chart operates with the Moon at the leading planet of my Locomotive, with the Moon both strengthened and challenged by the aspects noted in the previous paragraph. Pretty heavy for the Moon, the most insecure part of who we think we are! Still, as heavy as it’s been for my Moon to express peace rather than strife (as per its planetary duality), the Aquarian quality has always dominated its expression, for better or for worse. So the sign our Moon is in offers us important information about our way to peace.
The Moon opposed Pluto may very well be THE most insecure aspect that could be made. The tiny insecure Moon orbiting our Earth finds itself in the same space with (conjunction), at odds with (square), or confronted by (opposition) the Lord of the Underworld. Wow. You can see how the Moon, which craves security, might be in fear of annihilation when Pluto decides to visit!
There are many things to be learned about our nature by understanding the dance which the Moon and Pluto do in our lives, and how to manage our natal energies so we can understand what to do when the innermost must deal with the outermost. You can understand a lot of how the planetary dance shifts within “the whole cycle,” and what the stages of the conjunction, lower (waxing) square, opposition, and upper (waning) square indicate in the second part of my book Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend.
In Chapter 2, I offer readers the “departments of labor” of the planets, as well as the planetary dualities, essential to any in-depth understanding of how to manage the best expression of the planetary Lights. Chapter 10 goes deeper into an understanding of Pluto and how to navigate its intense transformational lessons. The second part of the book covers the nature of Saturn conjunctions, squares, and oppositions to the Ascendant and planets. This model can be used for similar Pluto aspects to the Ascendant and planets, just substituting Plutonic qualities and lessons for what is written about Saturn.
This is a book you will reference many times for many reasons, and each time you pick it up you’re sure to find undiscovered gems of insight on each page. What you read will help you let go of all that holds you back from finding and living your higher life and purpose, fulfilling your reason for being alive as a Spirit in the material world.
Understanding the dance we do with Saturn and Pluto throughout our lives can help us learn to let go of all we fear and all which holds us back. As we embrace the evolutionary possibilities, we become more than we ever dreamed of before.

Interesting stuff...got a reading done 2-3 months ago (highly recommend) and was just curious if you could shed some light for me, beloved.
I believe my moon is in the 7th - you mentioned having the same + this mirror concept and being mindful of imitation. That has been a powerful reminder to mind who I’m sharif space with.
I continue to reference the recordings and slowly transcribing them out. This reading remains one of the most powerful experiences as it confirmed so much for little Dom (inner child) ♥️
Sending all of you out there love and light,
Bodhi

Hi Robert,
Could you please refer to this Angel Point, what is the degree, and what is about?
Thank you!
