A friend and I were hanging out at Facebook and you never know what might come up in the way of conversation.
He offered "The perception of time can be altered by all kinds of things, just like our perception of other things our sensory systems process." He continued, "Yet, time is clearly a function of mass and motion - the entropic degradation of the system you are riding in."
This popped into my mind: "Definitely, in the sense of time as a measuring stick for the movement through experience. And because matter and all perception is essentially impermanent, of course phenomenon would manifest as entropic. At least when the entropy is complete, expansion naturally takes its place, since as yin is fulfilled then yang naturally arises."
The world expands and contracts, our interests expand and contract, our breath expands and contracts. That seems to be the nature of life on Earth. Learn from its "pulses" and you can surf the tides of life with a reasonable amount of calm, enjoying the ride as each wave presents itself.

I spent several years in an ashram, now some years ago. One of the things the leader said left an impression that seems to relate to your conversation.
He would often get involved in a creative project and invite others to participate. But he would add, "Don't be too long in getting back to me. I never know when a new idea will come and I'll turn my attention there. If I miss the window, I may get back to this project in a year or two, or perhaps never."

Time is not linear, it is cyclical..sequential
Thank you for the share, brother

I once asked a friend who is a physicist what would be at maximum entropy. He replied that no one really knew, but experiments suggested that after molecules and atoms degraded, electrons and protons would also degrade, leaving neutral particles and light. Sounds kind of familiar.
