On March 20 Mars conjuncts Jupiter at 23 Capricorn, a degree of rewards for courage. What does this hold for us?
First, it completes the last Mars/Jupiter cycle which began in January 2018 at 18 Scorpio. Since then, we’ve been transfigured and completed old work and old forms of service, and have experienced many expansions, truths, and protections in the house where 18 Scorpio falls in our charts. As Mars ruled that conjunction, we’ve certain got focused, and/or eliminated a lot of stagnant material in our lives!
Of extraordinary importance is that The Sun, Mercury, and Saturn all conjuncted Pluto at 23 Capricorn in January! That means the activation (Mars) of the expansive principle (Jupiter) will now begin the long term pulses of all that was promised by the conjunctions of January. You can find out a lot more about the promise of this degree and how long these cycles will play out by going to the article The Great Compression of January 2020 – Mercury, Sun, Saturn and Pluto all Conjunct in Capricorn.
As you have read before, the Sabian Symbol for the 23rd degree of Capricorn is "Two awards for bravery in war." In the Jones class notes published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says it is a degree of "Reward offered by society for the fulfilling of individual responsibility," "recognition of worth," and "unearned good fortune."
In The Astrological Mandala he goes on to state this degree is about being recognized in concrete ways by the community for our efforts, whether they "succeeded" or "failed." Here the collectivity appreciates the individual, where there is a "Recompense" for performance and a "balancing of accounts." We are told this degree falls in the Span of Dependence, Act of Capitalization, and Scene of Group Performance on the Social-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of "resourcefulness in developing new areas of experience," and of our "genius for dramatizing the fruits of an everyday aliveness" so we have a "broadened self-expenditure." Here an effort to "hold social and political gains demands an exaltation of personal vision and character," where over time we can come to a broader understanding of others.
With this degree, "the goal of living becomes a preservation of values." He offers us the keyword RECOGNITION, and states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree "is the social stewardship which demands a continual self-dedication."
From these symbols it seems we can see the light of new initiatives shining on a facet of specialized Being unmasking or unveiling something hidden before now. This brings social and mental interactions that contribute to broader ideals by allowing us to show our excellence, where action reveals our best Light in society. The larger theme of this conjunction will be found in rewarding forms of recognition and things, where we understand ourselves and others more excellently, and come to a greater self-dedication demonstrated on emotional, social, and cultural areas of experience. Be on the alert for the circumstances and people who recognize your genius, or special qualities arising from your self-dedications, and how well you've discharged your duties on behalf of a greater whole or some special element of your social existence.
So be mature and disciplined as you move into a greater social and emotional life, with chances to become effective in some form of group work. Remember your wisdom born of your direct experience, since there are adventures and great rewards for those who have, or can, make a greater contribution to society. Take control of the process of your infinite Self-unfoldment, step up to the plate, and show the world your skill and expertise!
The new is here. The Now is here. What do you want to show your world you’ve trained to offer to a greater social-spiritual work?

My natal Jupiter is 23 degree Capricorn, 2nd house. What you have written has been my life for the past 11 years. I am hopeful as to the coming rewards for my past hard work and responsibilities.
