Today, March 29, 2020, Mercury leaves its “Shadow Zone” and moves into the future. What does this mean?
First, for those who don’t know the term, a planet’s “Shadow Zone” is the span of degrees between the point it goes stationary retrograde back to where it goes stationary direct. When a planet which was retrograde goes direct, it moves across the same span of degrees it did when retrograde. That is the Shadow Zone.
Mercury went SRX at 13 Pisces on February 16. It retrograded back to 29 Aquarius, where it went direct March 9. It’s now in forward motion and about to leave the boundary of its shadow zone at 13 Pisces. As Mercury, “the Guide of Souls” and coordinator of our Life is now speeding up, we can expect all things related to Mercury to speed up as well for the next few weeks.
This year, Mercury’s “batting cleanup,” meaning it is the last inner planet to transit the degrees of the season. Mars will activate these Mercury retrograde in late Aquarius through mid-Pisces lessons as it transit 29 Aquarius through 13 Scorpio between May 9 and June 1. So besides the delays of Mercury retrograde, it seems many of the retrograde correlations will be re-activated by Mars in May! That means we can expect more experiences related to the SRX 13 Pisces theme, the Inferior Conjunction 7 Pisces theme, and the SD 29 Aquarius theme to roll out in the next few weeks.
Now Mercury moves forward through the last half of Pisces and into Aries, bringing coordination, information, or understanding to events already experienced via the inner planet transits of late Aquarius and the first half of Pisces, as well as “visions of the future” for when Jupiter occupies the RX span beginning late April 2021. As Mercury leaves its Shadow Zone, it now can bring us objective understanding of recent events so our ideas can “catch up” with our life, likes, and initiatives.
From here, Mercury will speed up until it catches up to the Sun at the next Superior Conjunction at 15 Taurus on May 4th, an extraordinarily “fateful” conjunctions since it’s biseptile Saturn on its SRX degree of “the cosmic visitation galvanizing us to action so we are freed from adverse conditions.” As Venus SRX is biquintile Jupiter SRX, that conjunction will bring all kinds of interactive boomerangs!
So enjoy the quickened pace, which should help many areas of our lives move forward in fine style. As usual, I’ll be writing more about Mercury’s Superior Conjunction with the Sun in May, as well as the very important retrogrades occurring then. We continue with the great reorganizations and reorientations in the Capricorn sector of our charts, propelling us toward the Mars conjunct Saturn at 1 Aquarius heralding and jump starting the Grand Mutation of 2020 in Aquarius, ushering in a dynamic Aquarian 200 year period!
