This Full Moon is the fifth one since the Great Mutation waveform was activated at the end of March. As this Full Moon ushers in the non-stop Mars squares to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn, stay balanced and figure out how to make your life secure against quick and immediate flare ups.
Remember that we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January which were set into motion in March. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set structures into play which will be needed in the 200 era to come beginning with the Great Mutation of December 2020.
That “Great Compression” of planets created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting the houses where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. An ongoing transit boosting those conjunction effects to an extreme degree can be found in Jupiter conjuncting Pluto all year, expanding Plutonic seeds at different points.
Given Jupiter’s retrograde span, for the next 4 months it will open many futures related to the Capricorn conjunctions of January and March 2020 as it moved in direct motion over those conjunctions, now is going retrograde over those points, and after it goes direct in September, will move over all of them again. If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published previously.
We are now in the thick of the oppositions made by the inner planets to those in Capricorn. The Sun already triggered them in mid-July, Mercury is triggering them in late July, and Venus will trigger them in late August and early September. By September Mercury will have made its opposition to Neptune and trines to the Capricorn stellium, followed by the Sun in the second and third weeks of September. In September and October, we’ll also have oppositions by Mercury and the Sun to Mars, so expect many weeks of dealing with “The Tension of Opposites” across many different sign axes. That's why it's important to learn balance now, because that's the exact quality we'll need in September, October, and November!
As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can take the tenderness and “weighing of alternatives” we’ve been experiencing since the New Moon and now can re-focus through a Leo-Aquarius lens. Insecurity can now be turned to strength, creativity, and heart power! We’ve left a lot behind due to the recent Eclipses, and are finding a deep, vast, and timeless Truth.
Saturn continues to be incredibly important in its home sign of Capricorn. It is on a technical degree, one of demonstrating the power to “read the tea leaves” and see what’s coming through omens in the present. Just remember that even though it’s no longer in Aquarius, because of where it went stationary retrograde, we’re all still in the midst of a 10 month span of “cosmic visitations galvanizing us to action” which are “liberating us from adverse conditions.”
The Sun in Fire and the Moon in Air shows a time of the Fixed Fire (stabilizing inspiration) of Leo expressing its fixity of heart energy through the Fixed Air (stabilizing ideas and interrelatedness) of Aquarius. At this time, no planets are in the first third of their signs, 5 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 5 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates no energies in the actional-material field and a “balanced preponderance” between the social/emotional field and the individual, mental, and spiritual field.
Why Are Full Moons So Important?
At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.
That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. As there are two forming oppositions in this Full Moon, it puts the evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” at work wherever we have 26-30 Cancer and Capricorn and 10-14 Leo and Aquarius. We’re now in the season of non-stop oppositions, since the inner planets have or will oppose the Capricorn planets, and soon will oppose Neptune, Mars, and Uranus.
Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?
The Sun is in Leo, the sign it rules. The Moon in Aquarius has its worldly ruler Saturn in Capricorn, and its spiritual ruler Uranus in Taurus. So the Sun and Saturn share power this month.
Mercury in Cancer is ruled by the Moon ruled by Saturn; Venus in Gemini is ruled by Mercury and therefor Saturn; Mars in Aries rules itself; Jupiter in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn; Saturn rules itself, Uranus is ruled by Venus and therefor Saturn; Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, and Pluto in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn.
That means Saturn rules all the planets except the Sun, Mars, and Neptune, making it their “final dispositor.” A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules. We now have at least three final dispositors through January, when Mars enters Taurus, with this month giving us FOUR final dispositors.
By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 12 Leo and 12 Aquarius. It is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the social, emotional, and cultural levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the second decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Sagittarius and Gemini.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.
The Solar degree symbol for the 12th degree of Leo is "An evening lawn party.” In the original Jones class notes Dane Rudhyar published in The Astrology of Personality, he states this degree is about “easy intercourse of human souls in moments of relaxation from strain” and “examination of, or self-loss in social values.”
In The Astrological Mandala,, Rudhyar offers this degree involves “group-relaxation in fashionable surroundings as an escape from work routine.” He states this symbol “refers to the more or less standardized and fashion-dictated relaxation of adults,” where the interactions are cultivated and socialized.
He tells us that here “we have now reached a stage of sophistication and involvement in externals and superficial intellectuality and wit.” He states that this symbol falls in the Span of Assurance, the Act of Stabilization, and the Scene of Combustion on the Individual-Mental level.
According to Dr. Jones, this degree is about “superficial gratifications” enhancing our “individual experience,” and of “the inherent normality through which (we) share the fruits of (our) personal accomplishment” with friends and neighbors. He offers “there are limitless forms of self-expression” through which we discover our “distinct personality, but what we achieve is meaningless unless there is some definite recognition of its worth” from others.
He states they keyword is COMPANIONSHIP. He says that when positive, this degree "is a genuine social maturity and an effective capacity for working with others.”
The Lunar degree symbol for the 12th degree of Aquarius is “People on stairs graduated upward.” According to Rudhyar’s notes from the Marc Jones class, this degree is one of "points of pause and transition, where the soul can evaluate its progress,” “graded effort,” and “necessity for divorcing the past.”
In the Astrological Mandala he states this degree is one of "the necessity of recognizing differences of types and levels of development wherever human beings live and work together.” He offers that this “refers to the ascending process of evolution of life forms and consciousness,” where we understand that “hierarchy of levels is a fact of nature,” and are challenged to “be aware of the level at which (we) stand” even as we aspire to an even greater level of spiritual awareness.
He states this is a degree of both reaching up and helping others who are not as aware as we are in a particular way. He says this is about “the great give-and-take of evolution,” and is a symbol of ascent. He warns us not to get too much into the “equalness” of people, since that only operates at “the spiritual core” of an individual, which is “potentially divine.”
He offers that “the natural progression of states of consciousness is an unavoidable reality … at the social-mental level” of our existence. He states this degree falls in the Span of Defensiveness, Act of Capitalization, and Scene of Contribution on the Individual-Mental level.
Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “inner gratification” serving to enhance our individual experience, and “the inherent differences among human kind which enable (us) to share any endeavor with (others) whenever they prove either more or less competent than (we are.) He states “there are limitless levels on which (we) may bring (our) aspiration to a momentary consummation, but no one of these along can ever off (us) sufficient ground for (our) own ultimate fulfillment.”
He offers us the keyword PROGRESSION. He explains that when operating in a positive way, this degree is “an effective forward point of view and a genuine capitalization on all prior accomplishment.”
From these symbols it seems the next two weeks will bring us all the Light of relaxation and reduction of stress in easy adult interactions expressed as a realization of the “natural progression of states of consciousness” showing us our place in the broader spiritual evolution we are part of. Here the Light of spontaneous combustion can be expressed in a form of a greater individual, mental, or spiritual contribution to ourselves and/or our world. As the Sun/Moon positions were reversed in the January 2018 Lunar Eclipse, no doubt the next 2 weeks will bring echoes from that time.
TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption
I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption We continue to have invisible helpers at our disposal giving us "divine help when human efforts seem to fail," as well as inner strength.
*********
At the last World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)
In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,
The Great Invocation
From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on EarthFrom the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to EarthFrom the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serveFrom the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
See you soon with part 3 covering aspects, planetary sequencing, and other important factors in this Full Moon.
