I got to thinking about the various rough patches we’ve had in 2020, and realized children born this year have some seriously abnormal progressions! The study of progressions is an important consideration in mapping the future of any child’s chart we’re looking at. As progressions show the evolving inner state of Being, they’re an important factor in our life as we live it.
Those born in early January 2020 will have major progressed conjunctions when young, since the grand compression of planets conjunct Saturn and Pluto will be at work in their progressed charts. Those born in February will have the major conjunctions in Capricorn and Aquarius of March active for a huge part of their lives.
Those born in March will have their Mars and Saturn progress into early Aquarius, and anyone born in April or May will have their progressed Saturn go stationary retrograde on “the unexpected thunderstorm” degree, where it will stay for many years of their lives. That group will also have their progressed Venus and Mercury retrograde during a huge number of years, and two eclipses!
Those born in June will have their progressed Venus go direct and progressed Mercury go retrograde, the eclipses, and their progressed Sun opposing Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. Those born in July will have the progressed trines from Leo to Aries, but also the intense squares of Mars in Aries to the Capricorn stellium. Those born in August will have one wild ride, as their progressed Mars will make squares, go retrograde at some point, and then make more squares to the Capricorn planets, along with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto going stationary direct.
Those born in early September will have Mars retrograde and their progressed Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto go stationary direct, as well as a Mercury T-square followed by the Solar T. Those born late September will have Saturn and Pluto go SD and their progressed Mercury go retrograde, along with the Solar T-squares. Those born in October will have the swirl of squares and oppositions with Mercury and Mars retrograde early, and then go direct in the progressed chart.
The intensity subsides for children born in November, since by mid-month we’ll have only Uranus and Neptune retrograde, even though those born early will have Mars and Neptune go stationary direct, while those born late in the month will have only go direct, though they will have to deal with their progressed Mars square Pluto and the incredible friction of January’s squares from Aquarius to Taurus.
Obviously there are many more factors to consider as well, but this is just a short look at a very vast concept. Have fun looking at charts with an eye to the progressions. They may reveal more than you have imagined!
