This Full Moon is the eighth one since the Great Mutation waveform was activated at the end of March. We are now past the heart of the squares in play from early July to late October, but we still need to stay balanced, secure what we care about, play defense, and plan for the future which is already under way!
Remember that we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January which were set into motion in March. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set structures into play which will be needed in the 200 era to come beginning with the Great Mutation of December 2020.
That “Great Compression” of planets created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting the houses where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. An ongoing transit boosting those conjunction effects to an extreme degree can be found in Jupiter conjuncting Pluto all year, expanding Plutonic seeds at different points.
Given Jupiter’s retrograde span, between May and September it opened potential futures related to the Capricorn conjunctions of January and March 2020 when it moved in direct motion over those conjunction and then went retrograde over those same points. Now it’s direct and is moving over all of them again. If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published previously.
As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can take the energies of the “mutation leading to a new heart strength” we’ve been experiencing since the New Moon and now can re-focus through a Scorpio-Taurus lens. We now have paid some social or emotional dues, and can experience a deeper connection to ourselves and others.
This Full Moon should be joyous for many bring unique interactive gifts and blessings for all, so regard this time as a great time to be happy in doing whatever work or play or practice or interaction which comes your way. We can now use the power of spontaneity to find joy in expressing ourselves within a greater group work which is approaching at light speed!
Saturn continues to be incredibly powerful as it finishes its stay in its home sign of Capricorn. It went SD on a degree of the world Soul, so we’ve all had opportunities to deepen our relationship to the greater life all around us. It now moves into its final approach to a new Aquarian era as we finish up the transition period of “cosmic visitations galvanizing us to action” which are “liberating us from adverse conditions.”
The Sun in Water and the Moon in Earth shows a time of the Fixed Water (stable if intense experience) of Scorpio expressing its concentrated magnetism through the Fixed Earth (grounded stable enjoyment) of Taurus. At this time, 4 planets are in the first third of their signs, 2 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 4 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a balance between the actional-material field and individual, mental, and spiritual field, with less focus on the social/emotional field.
Why Are Full Moons So Important?
At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.
That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. As there are two close forming oppositions and two wide forming oppositions in this Full Moon, it puts the evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” at work wherever we have 7-11 Scorpio and Taurus, and to a lesser degree in the entire Libra and Aries polarity. We’re now in the season of non-stop oppositions, since the Sun and Mercury have opposed Uranus, with Venus about to oppose Mars and Mercury again opposing Uranus after it goes direct and re-enters Scorpio.
Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?
The Sun is in Scorpio, making Mars RX in Aries its worldly ruler and Pluto in Capricorn its spiritual ruler. The Moon in Taurus has Venus in Libra as its worldly ruler and its spiritual ruler TransPluto in Virgo. So Venus and Mars share power this month, which is an exceptionally powerful pair, since they’re both in their home signs and opposed each other!
That means we again have FOUR “final dispositors” ruling all the other planets! The Sun and Mars are ruled by Mars; the Moon, Mercury, and Uranus are ruled by Venus; Jupiter and Pluto are ruled by Saturn; and Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. That means the rulerships are spread out this month between final dispositors Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune. A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules. We now have at least three final dispositors through January. I gave you an extensive explanation of the dispositors during recent months and now in the article Astrology in Summer and Autumn 2020 – A Competition of Final Dispositors
By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 9 Scorpio and 9 Taurus. It is said that the first third (decan) of any sign deals with the actional, material, and physical levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the first decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Scorpio and Taurus.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.
The Solar degree symbol for the 9th degree of Scorpio is "Dental work.” In the original Jones class notes Dane Rudhyar published in The Astrology of Personality, he states this degree symbolizes the “mechanical inventiveness and control over nature needed to balance man’s emphasis on mind and self” and “applied creativity.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he says this degree involves “overcoming the negative results of social practices and ego-cravings” implying the need to reverse some form of decay or damage resulting from our worldly living habits. He states this degree is about inventiveness resulting from “social needs.” He says it falls in the span of Retention, and it’s the technical degree of the emotional, social, and cultural level of the Scene of Communion in the Act of Group Integration.
Dr. Marc E. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, states that here we can find “self-renewal through a continuous and conscientious attention to the needs of the being on all planes of effort,” and our ‘stewardship of an inner and divine spark through which individuality sustains its spiritual citizenship” among our Brothers and Sisters.
We are told there are great personal rewards when we show a proper concern over our potentials and possessions, and we can fulfill our highest mission as we dramatize ourselves and our excellent gifts for others. He gives us the keyword PRACTICALITY, and we are told when operating in a positive manner, this degree indicates “creative ingenuity brought to a real service for others.”
So the Light of the next two weeks involves some kind of repair work, as well as a deeper communion with our Divine Self as well as others. Open to a newer, deeper social or emotional connectedness to repair something that has decayed; repair or reconstruct whatever decayed due to past unhealthy habits, and forge a deeper relationship with yourself and others to achieve a cleaner and clearer focus.
The Lunar degree symbol for the 9th degree of Taurus is “A Christmas tree decorated.” According to Rudhyar’s notes from the Marc Jones class, this degree is one of “A symbol of the promise which outer life offers to the pure in heart; of immortality through giving of self to the race.”
In The Astrological Mandala he states this degree is one of “the ability to create inner happiness in dark hours,” where despite outer “cold” or “barren” circumstances, we can find “abundance, beauty, and happiness within, overcoming the cold barrenness of the outside world.” He also notes this may include a “vivid faith in a transformed future.”
He continues by stating this symbol “suggests the ever-present possibility open to (us) to transfigure the darkness and deprivation of the low point of a life cycle by incarnating in it an antiphonic response celebrating the ever remembered and always expected high moments of life. It evokes (our) undying faith in cyclic renewal.” This symbol is said to be in the Span of Experience, Act of Differentiation, and the fourth degree of the Emotional-Cultural level of the Scene of Substantiation.
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this degree is one of “a self-renewal through a sharing with others, or a remaking of ties and a regathering of visions through the recurrent birth of a world spirit,” where “reciprocity is given added dimensions as both a practical fact and an idealistic pattern or ritualization.” We are told to exhibit our possessions so that our enjoyment is enhanced in some way.
He offers us the keyword of SYMBOLIZATION. He states that when this degree works positively, it is one of “(our) achievement of complete self-satisfaction through a simple sharing of (our) potentials” with others.
From these symbols it seems the next two weeks will bring us all the Light of doing some sort of repair work, expressed as an ability to create happiness and hope in the midst of dark influences, and renew our sense of self through what we share with others. This means we can focus on our interaction with others to bring forth new dimensions of experiencing an ideal, and as we share, we gain self-satisfaction. That is a great way of being spontaneous in expressing our joy!
This is the Light of a concentrated focus expressing as an ability to bring joy to others. Here the Light of “I transcend what has been” can be expressed in a greater social and/or emotional enjoyment which will lead to radical revolutions in 2021 and beyond!
TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption
I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption We have now entered a long period of getting over our prejudices and preconceptions, and approaching others from an angle of “the fellowship of humanity.”
*********
At the last World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)
In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,
The Great Invocation
From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on EarthFrom the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to EarthFrom the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serveFrom the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
See you soon with part 3 covering aspects, planetary sequencing, and other important factors in this Full Moon.
