And an equally Happy Summer Solstice to those “down under!” The 2020 Northern Hemisphere Winter Solstice/Southern Hemisphere Summer Solstice happens at 2:02 am PST, 8:02 am GMT December 21, 2020. This is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and the longest in the Southern! In the North the Solar force will begin to get longer and stronger, a welcome relief for those of us who need lots of sunshine to keep our dispositions equally sunny. Today we explore specifics of the Superior Conjunction of December 19, 2020 at 29 Sagittarius and what it promises for the rest of December and January. This “fusion of life and mind” will impact the rest of the Mercury direct period, as well as the first part of its next retrograde up to the Inferior Conjunction on February 8, 2021 at 21 Aquarius during Mercury’s retrograde between 27 and 12 Aquarius in February. Of course, all previous Superior and Inferior Conjunction points, as well as Mercury’s retrograde and direct stations, are triggered by subsequent transits long after Mercury was there.
