On October 17, Jupiter goes stationary direct at 23 Aquarius and resumes its direct motion lasting through next July as it prepares to sprint through its home sign of Pisces in early 2022. What does this mean?
It means that the Jupiter review we’ve been doing since June is now over. We’ve all been in review, revision, and re-imagining our spiritual truths and opening to a greater feeling-connection with “All That Is” since its retrograde station at 3 Pisces. Since the June Solstice we’ve been reviewing the degree span it first traversed between late March and the Solstice. Having reviewed those lessons, potentials, protections, blessings, and opportunities, we now can see how to manage our expansive momentum which is now future oriented.
The transit of Jupiter through Aquarius set many things into motion related to the new 20 year era unfolding. Its conjunction with Saturn in December 2020 began a 20 year Aquarian era as well as a 200 year Air era, where we leave the materialism of the Earth signs behind and fly free into the realm of cooperative visionary ideas to be accomplished through managed group energy.
During its time in late Aquarius, it transited the “Transfiguration Zone” twice already, once in late April and early May, and again in August. Each of these opened doors to “graduation into a new realm of Being,” where something cocooned in each of us has broken free of our chrysalis and now stand transfigured in our world in some way related to our part in the greater whole of Being. We now stand ready to traverse the TZ a third time as Jupiter approaches perihelion, giving us yet another look at the cusp of the Great Ages.
From Here We Move Forward
This should bring a sense of confidence and well-being for those who have reviewed, found joy in the journey, and taken a broader view of their power to see their indestructability and ways to manage their “spiritual individuality” to prepare to “pick up and deliver higher power” as a result of this direct station. We now stand ready to live a new “adventure in managed group work” we’ve explored during the past few months of Jupiter retrograde in Pisces and Aquarius.
In late 2020, Jupiter endured the terrible crosscurrents of Mars direct and retrograde in Aries square the planets in Capricorn as it made its THREE conjunctions with Pluto in that sign. In 2020, it has expanded the Aquarian promise after the squares planets in Aquarius made in January to Mars and Uranus in Taurus. In 2021 it got all the way into early Pisces before giving us a look back at how we’re managing our energies within our social or group work.
Now that it’s moving forward, it will pick up speed very quickly, as this is the part of the zodiac where Jupiter is at maximum speed! We’re about to get a third experience of the span between 23 and 30 Aquarius over the next 10 weeks. In mid-January, after Jupiter leaves its shadow zone at 3 Pisces, it races through that sign before entering Aries on May 10, 2022, opening a brand new energy field.
I believe it’s important to connect the dots by taking a look back at what was going on in 2003, since that year Uranus was in the last 5 degrees of Aquarius and the first 3 degrees of Pisces. Jupiter was last in late Aquarius and Pisces in 2010, so we now stand on a threshold resembling December 2010 and early 2011. All that Jupiter opens from now through Summer 2022 will be “made real” by Saturn between April 2022 and April 2026.
The Sabian Symbol for Jupiter's Direct Degree
Jupiter’s stationary direct degree is 23 Aquarius, and the Sabian Symbol for the 23rd degree of Aquarius is “A big bear sitting down and waving all its paws.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this degree is one of "Need to build an adequate vehicle for cosmic power,” “performance beyond native endowment,” and “a striving for balance.”
In The Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree is about “the self-discipline which results from an intelligent development of individual faculties under proper training.” He offers this symbol is about “proper training” and our need to understand that “no training is really successful unless it leads to the realization of the value and power of self-discipline.”
He continues that “God or the Soul is the trainer” in many situations, and that we can strengthen our character and understanding as we learn to overcome emotional heaviness. He states “we can learn to discipline our natural impulses and to use them for a more-than-personal purpose,” thus fulfilling a quality of any true Spiritual discipleship. He says this degree fall in the Span of Perspective, Act of Capitalization, and Scene of Contribution on the Social-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of our “absolute mastery of (our) own lower nature,” and our ability to achieve “high personal fulfillment.” He tells us “there are illimitable channels through which (we) may further each separate phase of (our) self-discovery, “ but we must demonstrate the worth of our gifts before we can participate in a greater life.
With this degree, our “Soul find itself through the excellencies it makes the very fabric of itself.” He offers us the keyword APTITUDE, and states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree "is a consistent desire for genuinely significant experience and a willingness to dramatize the self’s potentials to any necessary extent.”
So this Jupiter station on the synthesizing degree of the emotional and social level of management shows us the shapes of things to come through extrapolating what has been and how it led us to here and now. This indicates the platform for the larger Jupiter energies for the rest of the year involve the need for mastering energy for a more than personal purpose, showing our aptitude and willingness to embrace our greater potentials. We are preparing to “pick up and deliver spiritual power” in the near future. Have fun!
The Near Future
As Jupiter goes direct it makes great aspects with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto through the end of the year and into January. Mars and then Mercury make very favorable trines in the near future, while Venus moves from a quintile to a sextile to a septile to a semisquare over the next few weeks.
We have Mars square Jupiter in late November and early December before it too makes a quintile in January. The most beneficial energies are generated by Jupiter quintile Uranus from the Transfiguration Zone, unexpectedly awakening something in those with planets or point near 10-14 Taurus, 22-26 Cancer, 4-8 Libra, 16-20 Sagittarius, and 28 Aquarius-2 Pisces. If you have something in one or more of these zones, your life will light up brightly in December!
This will be profoundly activated by Mars in early January when it transits mid-Sagittarius and quintiles Jupiter and biquintiles Uranus! Unique gifts are in the air, we’ll see the “harvest of our work” in the garden of our lives, and be in motion to use the disciplines we’ve done since early 2020 and apply them in even more effective ways in the larger work we’re doing.
Many things will culminate over the next few weeks, since the inner planet transits through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn will form waning aspects to Jupiter. This year we will have no more conjunctions of planets to or from Jupiter, but in early 2022 we have multiple major cycles set into motion! In March the Sun and Mercury conjunct Jupiter in mid-Pisces, followed by Jupiter conjunct Neptune all of April with Venus conjuncting both at the end of April. The great thing is that by the time Mars catches up to Jupiter they’re in early Aries, so it’s flame on!

The Sabian symbol you describe brings to mind the current wave of dissatisfaction with pre-lockdown employment; reflected in the lower-than-expected new non-farm payroll figures, supply-chain breakdowns, etc. A large swathe of the population appears to have "given-up", or at the least questioning old system assumptions. The Sabian symbol for Jupiter's current stationary-direct status seems to suggest that dissatisfaction will find some resolution in the courage to re-invent one's life with less compromise of personal values.

^Exactly, Marco!
When we look at Aquarius we see a sign that is looking to "liberate from oppressive or inadequate" conditions.
I think an aspect of Jupiter and Saturn now meeting in Air signs for every 20 of the next 200 years is showing how work and employment are being "recontextualized" in the Minds and Hearts of both the American (and possibly the Global Worker).
I also think that America's "Pluto" Return at 27 Capricorn which is imminent is having sweeping effects on the expressive Actional Body of the average American.
Seems like we are truly into some Evolutionary times.
