At 9:24 pm PDT on March 18, Mercury enters Aries, heralding the Equinox which follows on the afternoon of March 20. This ends the Pisces backdrop to planets and houses we have in Gemini and Virgo, and brings Fire to the forefront of those planetary Lights and life houses.
This should bring a quickening to all things related to Mercury in our charts, and as it rapidly transits the degree of the Mars-Jupiter conjunction in May 2022, it will bring new ideas and new insights into what’s been unfolding since then. It will make a conjunction with Chiron on March 26, and one with Jupiter on March 27th, setting new cycles into motion involving those spiritual powerhouses.
It moves through Aries with great speed, as it enters Taurus on April 3 en route to going SRX at 16 Taurus on April 21, giving us a review of one of the primary themes of the year, that being “the old answers can’t solve the current questions.” We’ll be getting very fast experience of Mercury in early April, after which it’ll rapidly slow down.
For now, face forward, prepare to accelerate many Mercury-related things through early April, and then get everything in order, since once Mercury begins to slow down in its shadow zone we’ll begin to feel the retrograde effect. I’ll write more about that in a couple of weeks.
