Uranus Leaves Its Shadow Zone at 19 Taurus On Its Way to 24 Taurus

On May 11, 2023, Uranus leaves its “Shadow Zone” and moves into the future. What does this mean?

First, for those who don’t know the term, a planet’s “Shadow Zone” is the span of degrees between the point it goes stationary retrograde back to where it goes stationary direct. When a planet which was retrograde goes direct, it moves across the same span of degrees it did when retrograde, and then a third time when direct again. That is the Shadow Zone.

Uranus went SRX at 19 Taurus in late August 2022, and retrograded back to 15 Taurus, where it went direct on January 22. Since then it’s been in forward motion and is leaving the boundary of its shadow zone at 19 Taurus. As Uranus works with Saturn, our "Spiritual Master and Spiritual Friend” who teaches us the virtues of Self-mastery to bring forth our individuality and spiritual purpose for being alive, we now move into unknown zones of individuation humanity hasn’t experienced since 1939-1940.

As Uranus moves through its “unknown zone” between 20 Taurus and 24 Taurus, its SRX degree in late August, it will awaken many things which will be expanded into new truths and opportunities when Jupiter transits this zone in March and April 2024. These will activate in July 2024 when Mars moves through this degree span.

During the time Uranus is direct between now and August, it’ll be conjuncted by Mercury at 21 Taurus in early June, setting a quest for understanding and meaning of what’s culturally relevant to us for the rest of the year and into 2024. This will revolutionize in new ways when Uranus goes retrograde and crosses 21 Taurus in November-December 2023, and again in March-April 2024. April 2024 is especially important as Jupiter conjuncts Uranus at 22 Taurus, initiating a new day and new life for many of us.

So enjoy the new territory Uranus is leading us into, which should help us learn how to be our genius in social situations, or revolutionize our emotional response to life. Allow yourself to feel a higher state of awareness, search for why things have meaning to you, prepare for a new life just around the corner, and get ready to receive something of worth which will help you embrace a new life.

Hi Robert,

Im grateful that I found your site a number of years ago, as it's been a solid connection of information, and awareness, and insight, and learning.

I just read your Uranus leaving the shadow zone at 19 Taurus on its way to 24 Taurus.

I have my natal moon in the 8th house at 21 Taurus. With Uranus conjuncting Mercury at that degree in June, then it goes Rx and crosses over my moon again in March/April and then in April 2024 Uranus conjuncts Jupiter at 22 Taurus. I have many dreams of "Endings-Beginnings", Death and Integrations, Birth, Expansion Etc.
My moon in the 8th also opposes my Sun/Mars in the 2nd in Scorpio....and the last Scorpio eclipse conjuncted my Mars at 17 Scorpio/2nd ....which opposed my moon in the 8th. It feels like lots of endings are happening.

Since its my 8th house, and my natal moon, is this is about inner transformation, change of perception, thinking, letting go of old auto pilot behaviours, ways of relating or reacting....leading to growth, expansion, and new ways of emotional maturity?

Letting go of the Past....?

Hi WHR - Glad to see you're still around. Uranus on your Moon revolutionizes your way of experiencing life. Yes, your old ways of expressing those planetary functions are shutting down to some degree so you can express those planets in newer, more evolved ways. Uranus is testing you to follow your heart's desire, when in doubt just do it, take nothing for granted, and allow the uniqueness of your Moon to come forth.

Love your work Robert. My 12th house bucket handle moon is at 19 degrees Taurus. Been interesting to watch what emerges from the shadows.
