We are never separate from each other, “God,” Source, the Earth or anything else. We are a spark of divine Intelligence in a field of Light energy.
I last wrote about this subject 11 years ago. It relates to two sayings which keep popping up in my mind from time to time, which usually means I need to pay attention and contemplate them since they keep coming up. One is “God helps those who help themselves,” and the other is “God loves gratitude.” That they both have to do with something about “God” but seem to be totally unrelated as concepts might seem peculiar, but after consideration I believe in their essence they both point to a greater Truth.
A while back I heard it put that when we pray to “God” we are talking to that entity and when we meditate we are listening to “God.” As I believe “God” is better described as “All-That-Is,” then we get a different view of what our prayers and meditations and karmic actions create within the unified field we’re all in. Each thing we do, feel, or think creates ripples in the energy field; that’s why becoming conscious and intentional actually makes a difference.
Many pray regularly believing that “God” will listen to them and give them what they are praying for. While we may get what we pray for, and believe it to be Divine intervention or even a miracle, it usually involves the need for some grounded effort on our part to make our prayer “real.” While “God” may hear our plea, to see it made manifest we often have to put forth effort to achieve the object of our prayer.
While we are as surrounded by Life, Love, and “spiritual entities” like Devas, angels, and all the other Life within the body of “All-That-Is” as a fish is surrounded by water, to make the spiritual world “real” WE are the ones who have to do it. We are the vehicles who have to learn to be receptive to that which originates in the “God” planes of higher existence and the subsequent creative “pulse” on the Archangelic “master builder” levels which is then shaped into forms by the various angelic groups. We all have the power to take creatively expressed ideas and make them real through our planetary responses in the world.
This is inextricably connected to the idea that “God helps those who help themselves.” Rather than be an encouragement of selfishness, it is a declaration that as we learn how to make the Divine “real” in the world, “All-That-Is” assists that Divine intention through the infinite subtle workers in all the realms. As we actively participate in helping bring Spirit to Earth, the entire invisible world rises up to assist us to make that manifest.
The interesting thing is that we cannot conceive of anything unless it somehow already exists in Spirit and we have the ability to tune to those levels of origination, creation, formation, and expression. That implies Divine Intention is already a potential to be made real by us as vehicles of Spirit. As we make the potential real, we are both helping ourselves and being helped by Spirit, “God,” and “All-That-Is.”
So how does participating in co-creation with “God” relate to the phrase “God loves gratitude?”
As we actively participate in the co-creation of bringing Spirit to material manifestation, we begin to see the synchronicity of all things working together and understand we are an integral part of the larger unified field of creation. Gratitude is our recognition of our ability to participate in the vaster creative process whereby we come out of ignorance into awareness and understanding and appreciate the larger blessings these bring to our life.
Demonstrating conscious gratitude for all we have been given, all we realize, and all the powers and awareness we have at our disposal actively creates future karmas which will generate more to be grateful for. In its most absolute form, the Law of Karma makes it clear that as we act, feel, think, and aspire we will see these made real in some way.
By our state of mind we can shape our intention and generate energy which will attract that which is true and good for us while demagnetizing that which we don’t need to experience. Practicing gratitude makes it a permanent part of our energy hologram which attracts more to be grateful for. And in being grateful for that which comes, we generate more attractions which will help strengthen “the attitude of gratitude.”
To be grateful or appreciative creates a happy attitude of mind. As we practice and reinforce these responses, we open to the infinite ways and means to express appreciation and gratitude. By learning to recognize opportunities to practice appreciation and gratitude, we find our lives being filled with even more to appreciate and be grateful for. Through incorporating these into our daily life, they become permanent patterns in our consciousness and are easily demonstrated when we encounter something to appreciate.
Through repetition, these become part of our “astral atmosphere,” and operate within the whole of our personality as touchstones to strengthen our connection to Spirit, “God,” and “all-That-Is.” The more we cultivate appreciation and gratitude, the better our alignment with our Soul which loves that which has, does, and will lead us to a greater love.
So “God helps those who help themselves” is an affirmation of our willingness to align with a higher intention and good, while “God loves gratitude,” is an affirmation of our willingness to open to all that the Spiritual realm records about our heart’s love of the good. Spirit, “God,” or “All-That-Is” witnesses the intention in our hearts, and due to the law of karma, as we generate gratitude we are given much more to be grateful for, and as we cooperate with aligning our lower self with our Higher Self, “All-That-Is” brings forth the ways and means to live our Higher Self.
