Slow down and be careful! We have two serious oppositions going on right now, with one VERY volatile and the other amping up feelings everywhere. While Mercury makes the Grand Water Trine with Mars and Neptune, the Mars opposition Pluto is creating a very hard edge out there.
Of course the Grand Water Trine anchored by Pluto in Capricorn creates a “Peace Sign” special evolutionary configuration which should strengthen planets we have in late Earth and Water signs. However! Mars opposed Pluto can move things “out of control” very quickly along with creating blockages and metaphoric and real traffic jams.
I was driving around earlier and it sure seems like there were more people driving recklessly than usual, and some were very aggressive. Like passively blocking people and then getting aggressive with them. I found people not looking as they pulled out or pulled in, drove way too fast in parking lots, and just crammed themselves into gridlock rather than being patient at crowded intersections.
Turning to Venus opposition Jupiter, we are told that supposedly this is a very favorable opposition, since Venus and Jupiter are “benevolent” according to the ancients. While many women I met earlier were very cordial, some of the worst driving today was by women who were not paying attention to what they were doing. I saw at least three distracted drivers who were on their phones, putting on makeup, not looking at the road, and worse. When we’re behind or beside an SUV with someone not paying attention to the road, anything could happen.
We are told Venus opposed Jupiter is about learning to hang in there, not settling for lesser things when greater ones are at stake, and not compromising when we don’t need to. According to Marc Edmund Jones, it is an aspect of “following through with what marks us at our best,” with the ability “to win out” by “being conscious of ultimate ends.” Just beware of extravagant speech or actions, since this is a classic “over the top” type of combination of energies.
Mars opposed Pluto is most affecting people with planets in the last two degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, as well as the first two degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Venus opposed Jupiter is most affecting those with planets between 19-23 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. If you have something in any of those zones you’re probably feeling a LOT right now. Just be careful that whatever you’re doing is actually worth doing it.
Yes, Mercury trine Mars and Neptune does facilitate flow; the problem is the intensity of the flow. It’s one thing to slowly drift down a stream, enjoying the view; it’s another thing entirely to hit a level 4 whitewater rapids! With these two oppositions, get around or behind what’s happening, don’t waste time in stuck situations, and find ways to relieve the pressure.
As this will last through Tuesday, kick back, chill out, and decrease the need to react to the intensity. This too will pass, but in the meantime it’s a hot time in the old town tonight! Be safe, slow down, and enjoy what you can without overdoing it. Sun trine Saturn should help us default to caution rather than extreme positions. Pull back from the external dramas and you could find a wealth of good feelings inside you!
