On November 29, 2001, one of the deepest, most playful and talented Beings on Earth passed, the remarkable Sir George Harrison. "The Quiet Beatle" was an extraordinary Spiritual man who introduced Ravi Shankar and the sitar to the Western world and wrote some of the most profound songs of the 20th century. He also produced two of the funniest movies ever made in the 70s by Monty Python.
There are a huge number of music videos of The Man at the link. Last year I decided to give you the lyrics and a link to one of his timeless songs, and offer it to you again this year. This year we still have the original Sgt. Pepper’s version of The Beatles - “Within You Without You”
We also have this link to an exquisite performance by “the Beatles’ Magical Orchestra” conducted by my friend, the Maestro David Amram. Very good tribute below the lyrics!
Aum Namah Shivaya! Aum Namah Bodhisattva!! RIP our Brother.
Within You Without You
We were talking about the space between us all
And the people who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth, then it's far too late, when they pass away
We were talking about the love we all could share
When we find it, to try our best to hold it there with our love
With our love, we could save the world, if they only knew
Try to realise it's all within yourself
No one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small
And life flows on within you and without you
We were talking about the love that's gone so cold
And the people who gain the world and lose their soul
They don't know, they can't see, are you one of them?
When you've seen beyond yourself then you may find
Peace of mind is waiting there
And the time will come when you see we're all one
And life flows on within you and without you

Last year I had a great video interview with George, Ravi, and George Martin about the making of “Within You Without You,” but this year it’s nowhere to be found. Maybe next year….
The Beatles’ Magical Orchestra Conducted by David Amram – “Within You Without You”
We'll close today with a couple of tunes from his last album, released posthumously. First, the upbeat "Any Road" and the closer of the album, a profoundly spiritual message given to us by a dead man, "Brainwashed." Here's a gear fab 4 minute short backstory on making that amazing album. "Brainwashed."
For our encore, a very special Beatley treat. The Last Televised Interview with George Harrison Plus A Funny One With Ringo
