Venus leaves its transit of friendly, idealistic and detached Aquarius at 7:24 pm PST on January 2 and enters compassionate, empathetic, and mysterious Pisces, its sign of exaltation, where it stays until February 4, when it enters fiery Aries. What does Venus’ passage through Pisces hold for all of us?
This brings the next shift in the energy of planets and houses we have in Taurus and Libra. In late October and early November, Venus transited Sagittarius, bringing us a new sense of freedom and optimism as we danced with Venus in a Fire sign. It entered Capricorn in mid-November and stayed through early December, where we were trained in forms of social power and learned appreciation for practical ways of relating and a new maturity in our interactions.
Venus then entered Aquarius in early January, bringing lightness, brightness, friendliness, and detachment to our relationships, expanding our social effectiveness and an awareness of greater ways to contribute to a greater good. This position opens a love of idealism, an attraction to ideas which will create a greater good for a greater number, and an appreciation to all things which betters society, even if some of its more progressive expressions could shock people stuck in old ways!
Venus in Aquarius can seem very impersonal in its likes and dislikes and very fixed in its tastes and opinions. Venus in Pisces is also and “impersonally personal,” as well as idealistic. Venus in Pisces deepens the broader vision while it releases all which doesn’t serve that larger vision.
Venus in Pisces is exalted because it’s receptive to a greater and more compassionate “urge to merge.” It’s a time to go deep, and if you sense strange or conflicted feelings, your emotional body may be picking up on someone else’s feelings, whether near or “at a distance.”
Venus in Pisces brings the love of deep connections, deep feelings, but also a sense of swimming in the ocean of infinite feelings, some of which are VERY conflicted. Just because you feel inner conflict, or despair, or dread, or uncertainty doesn’t mean you’re the source of the issue or the problem. When feeling overwhelmed (as I have Jupiter in Pisces) I find it useful to go deep and bless something to pass down the time stream, or simply accept that I’m “witnessing through feelings” something in the collective consciousness.
Venus in this sign is supremely elegant, can cloak many things in an aura of mystery, and a great “witness” to things others may want to conceal. This position appreciates the limitlessness of social experience and expression, and enjoys the infinite nuances of interactions. However, as Pisces feels everything all the time, there can be confusion or hesitancy while trying to find the “exact perfect” way to express ourselves.
The difficulty in this position is a tendency to lapse into feeling sorry for oneself about imperfections in present and past relationships, or feel like a victim in some way. This position cautions us to make sure that our interactions are fair, just, and that each is observing healthy boundaries, since Pisces tends to blur many lines.
The positive is that being a highly devotional position, it opens doors to profoundly high and deep awareness and appreciation of relationships, as well as the ability to bring things to completion without much fuss or drama. In any case, expect heightened awareness and empathy of others, with opportunities to bless others silently by sending a compassionate thought that the old is over and the new is opening.
As noted earlier, Venus in Pisces is “personally impersonal” in its likes and dislikes, seeing many interactions as “movies” which are being seen but not directly experienced. Always sympathetic and compassionate in theory, it can be somewhat inconsistent in its standards. This position values the ability to relate to others at a deeper feeling level coupled with a sense of shared acceptance despite the contradictions. Venus in this sign encourages us to value shared motives, shared sorrows, shared universal feeling experiences, and value our ability to relate to others with genuine compassion and empathy.
As the trip around the zodiac can be seen in terms of “dual pulses,” initiated by the Fire and Air signs and “confirmed” by the Earth and Water signs, this it the beginning of the end of the Aquarius/Pisces pulse. This finishes the spiritual/transpersonal sector of the zodiac, as it takes the social experience of Venus in Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio into another dimension of human experience. The balancing, refining energy of Venus in Libra, deepened in magnetic attraction/repulsion in Scorpio, entered a new realm in Sagittarius, organized into personal power in Capricorn, leading to a wider vision of how to apply that power for the greatest good in Aquarius. We now complete what was begun in Aquarius.
Venus’ Nature
Venus in Pisces is powerful, as it is in its sign of exaltation, which is where it finds its grounds for greatest growth. Venus in Mutable Water brings more fluidity to Her nature, as well as flexibility and the ability to conceal feelings until the right time or circumstance. It’s great for expressing subtle feelings, subtle values, and appreciation of the usually unnoticed beauty all around us as well as within us. Venus in this sign harmonizes with planets in the Earth and Water signs, and brings those with Venus in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces to a turning point in their relationships.
Venus in Pisces is in waxing quincunx with its Libra nature and harmonious by mode with its Taurus nature. So in Pisces it has to adjust or sacrifice some of its Libra sense of things because of its depth experience, while in an extraordinarily productive relationship with its Taurus nature.
In Pisces Venus is in Her own 6th sign, as per Her rulership of Libra, and in Her own 11th sign, as per Her rulership of Taurus. In its own 6th it feels whatever needs to be adjusted or sacrificed in its eternal search for fairness, justice, and balance in a “depth interactive” setting. In its own 11th, it is a phase of glimpsing a broader goal of enjoyment, that of deep relationships with pleasant people who aren’t rocking the boat. As Pisces is the sign of Venus’ exaltation, it is extraordinarily growth oriented in ways Venus likes.
Venus in Pisces is can be subtle, perplexing, and inconsistent as She reorients to a deeper, more empathic connection with others. As it’s in the axis of the Archetype of the “Priest(ess) or Healter,” a.k.a. “The Shaman,” or “The Guide,” it indicates Venus here gets to practice healing other through compassion or forgiveness, and can guide others through endings into new worlds. Here Venus gets to operate from a place of deep intuition and empathy.
It should be good for people with Sun or Moon in Pisces, because when Venus comes to visit your Lights, you could find yourself beholding something or someone of great beauty or value who can illuminate you or care for you in Venusian ways. Because it is the backdrop to how planets in Taurus and Libra express themselves, if things move away from a detached, friendly, and altruistic way of being with others into a more intuitive, connected, and compassionate way of being with others, take the cue and re-shape your likes and expression accordingly.
So welcome to the gateway to a new Venusian experience which will lead us to a greater appreciation and value for our ability to forge deep connections while allowing many past interpersonal sorrows to be forgiven and released. Since all relationships lead us to a greater realization of what works and doesn’t work for us, by viewing past difficult people as guides who helps us become who we are now with the loving relationships we currently have, we can bless them all while never having to go through those lessons again.
Enjoy the experience of Venus swimming in the ocean, enjoying life in all its feeling-forms. This should bring a sense of deeper connections with others while helping us forgive past hurts and move forward with “the barnacles of past wounds” falling off the hull of our “ship of personality.” Enjoy the flow, experience universality however you can, since by early February Venus will enter Aries, bringing more energy, impulsiveness, bluntness, and honesty to our interactions. Then it will go retrograde in that sign, which I’ll write about in early February.
A Brief Look at How We Got Here
Venus in Pisces brings yet another a turning point in the voyage of Venus through all the zodiacal signs. So let’s take a look at the current Venus cycle to get a sense of perspective about how we got here and where we’re going.
In early April 2024, Venus left Pisces and entered Aries. Venus in Pisces feels everything there is to feel, while Venus in Aries feels what is immediate and passing, leaping forward into relationships and quick to like and “unlike” things. Venus in Aries opens new likes, new values, new appreciation, and more directness in all interactions. This year Venus occupied Aries from April 4-29, when it entered Taurus.
Venus in Taurus savors each moment. Venus in Taurus likes what it likes and is not inclined to try new things unless they’re easy and pleasant. While Venus in Aries is highly agitated, Venus in Taurus likes comfort and ease. This year Venus occupied Taurus the first 3 ½ weeks of May.
When Venus was in Gemini it began a new “pulse,” and we experienced a more curious, open and adaptable approach to our likes, loves, and fancies. Venus in Gemini gives a “love of learning,” a love of exploring all the ideas there are to explore which capture the imagination. It is good with words and ideas, and solves information puzzles by seeing ways to put them together. We learned new Venusian likes, values, and the social promise in Gemini. This year Venus occupied Gemini between late May through mid-June.
Venus then moved into Cancer, giving opportunities to secure what nurtured us and allowed us to have deeper relationships. Venus in Cancer loves deep, tender connections with people and experience. While it is VERY sensitive, it is also the most caring placement for Venus, because it rules Taurus, the exaltation of the Moon. The Moon does well in Venus signs, and Venus does well in Lunar signs (I include Leo, as the Moon is the spiritual ruler of Leo, as I explain in Saturn, Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend. This year Venus transited Cancer between mid-June and early July.
Venus in Leo began a new pulse between mid-July and early August this year, taking the introversion and sensitivity of Cancer and turning it outward in creative and dramatic forms of expression. Venus in Virgo for almost all of August completed this dual pulse by learning to value expressing “significant form” and “divine Discernment.” Leo gave us a new enthusiasm and sense of heartfelt liking and loving of things and people, and Virgo helped us find the place and function of each detail in our lives.
Venus was in Libra began a new “dual pulse” in its home sign of Libra. Venus in Libra values and expresses more balanced, reasoned, beautiful and “symmetric” interactions and experiences. It is interactive, gracious, and wants to make forms more pleasing. Venus completes or “secures” that pulse in Scorpio, reorienting our social instincts toward a deeper connection with self and others, and a greater intensity of all our interactions with the world. Venus in Scorpio taught us what we can attract and how to do it, as well as what we cannot hold on to because the magnetism is no longer there. This year Venus was in Libra between late August and late September, and in Scorpio between late September and mid-October.
Venus in Sagittarius from mid-October through mid-November brought a new pulse, which will be completed during its time in Capricorn. Venus in Sagittarius brings openness and a willingness to dance, appreciating the spaces which allow us freedom to explore each other, and seeing how what we value feeds our future or not. It values freedom and higher, broader truths, whether others agree with them or not.
Venus in Sagittarius then takes those truths and potential futures and organizes values and interactions into forms of personal power in Capricorn. That love of propriety and maturity in relationships naturally lead us to see our power in the broader context of society. Venus in Capricorn teaches us about the value of personal power and more mature interactions. Venus transited Capricorn between mid-November and early December.
Venus’ in Aquarius leads us to value or appreciation for our ability to make a greater contribution to others or society as a whole, with an ease of maturity and an ability to feel a part of a greater group contribution. Venus in Aquarius teaches us how to enjoy more of a sense of being part of a greater group work. Venus has now finished its transit which began in early December and has lasted through now.
Venus then takes the vision and affection for a greater good into the depth waters of Pisces, where it feels all the empathy and compassion there is to feel while understanding the value of saying goodbye, forgiving much as it passes down the stream of Time. Venus in Pisces gives us a renewed swim in the ocean of infinite compassion. Venus will occupy Pisces from now through early February, when it enters Aries again and goes retrograde. It will retrograde back into late Pisces in late March and stay there through the end of April.
From Here We Dance On
Venus’ entry into Pisces introduces our Venusian expression to a greater appreciation and value for our ability to enter into deep and fulfilling relationships with people who are at ease with us and we with them. This allows us to take the idealism of Aquarius and dive deep into the ocean of infinite connectedness and awareness. Be as compassionate as you can, and remember just because you’re feeling something doesn’t mean it’s personal.
This favors being empathic, but don’t allow your sympathies to be preyed upon by those with deceptive or hidden motives. Beware of those who play the victim or blame the victim. Be aware when words and actions don’t match, but forgive much and if appropriate, “slip out the back Jack, get a new plan Stan, no need to be coy Roy…. Just set yourself free.” Enjoy your refreshing swim in the ocean of infinite awareness, and if you choose to clean up the ocean a little, countless blessings will be yours in the future!
With Venus in Pisces, we learn to see “the movie of our life” with appreciation and gratitude, finding a greater awareness of our connection to human, past, present, and future. Show genuine appreciation for others who share your sympathies and you might find you’re having a great party! Venus is heralding the path of the Sun, with the “Inferior conjunction” between Venus and the Sun at 3 Aries on March 22.
As our Venus response evolves, we have the capability to enjoy the subtle pleasures in life to the fullest. No longer over-indulgent or self-denying, we can choose what to like and find a rich appreciation for the banquet of life experiences which are ours for the enjoying! The Magic of Venus is available to all who want to improve all their relationships and join with Soul Mates to bring forth the best of our Higher Self.
The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames
Each transit Venus makes through a sign adds to our Venusian experience, enabling us to shape our likes and affections toward newer and better values and relationships. Venus’ duality is Wisdom/Folly. By our Venus responses, we are led out of misguided values, vanities, and ways of interacting into the wisdom of “Right Relationship.”
In esoteric philosophy, Venus is said to be the elder sister of the Earth, teaching us to refine what is of value and leave the superficial and vain imaginings of the ego behind, just as humanity is learning globally at this time in history. Venus is definitely part of the equation in our personal and interpersonal happiness.
Because Venus changing signs shows us our own changing tastes as well as the changing tastes of those around us, you can find out more about what you like and why you like it, as well as how Venus functions in Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and all the signs in my book The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames. It is the most comprehensive book on Venus ever written, and explains why we attract who we do and how to create more satisfying relationships in the future. It is a combination of psychological, astrological, spiritual, and experiential knowledge and wisdom accumulated over a 60 year period.
This work offers all you could want to know about the power of your inner Venus and how you can make your relationships more fulfilling because you are living a Soul-ful life. You’ll find out about why you like or don’t like people and things, why you’ve attracted who you have in the past and present, and how to make those attractions more aligned with your Soul purpose in the future. You’ll understand why Soul Mates come into our lives, and how to know the difference between a Soul Mate and our Twin Flame.
It has chapters on the qualities of each sign’s natural mate, the qualities of Venus in each sign, Venus retrograde, and when crucial choices and changes are made, affecting who we attract in the future. It was written for both astrologers and lay people, and as it has a thousand gems for better relationships, with self, others, and Source, please consider getting your copy by going to the link above! (And when you’re done, please leave a review on Amazon, since it helps the book and all other books on astrology as well!)

Hello Robert,
Aka "Your Wisdomness"...., I have your Venus book, and I refer to it often.
But in this article, You mentioned the inferior conjunction of Venus, as she is rx, and the Sun at 3 Aries on 22 March.
That is my SNode, in the 6th house, which of course would oppose my Natal NNode in the 12th at 3.02 Libra, which also conjuncts my natal Venus at 5 Libra, 12th and squares my natal Saturn at 4 Capricorn in the 3rd. My progressed Mars is at 3 Cap, 3rd...thinking/speaking? siblings? and it now squares my nodes, right action???...... You mentioned April as a delivery date of "gifts" (many dreams of this also, "graduation" etc)
Im feeling a collapse of the old....

Greetings Robert,
Happy New Year!!!
AKA...Your "Wisdomness"...
I noticed in this article, that Venus's inferior conjunction with the Sun is at 3 Aries, on 22 March. That is the degree of my SNode 3.02 Aries/6th, which of course opposes my NNode at 3.02 Libra/12th. So Venus Rx at the Inferior conjunction with the Sun, conjuncts my SNode, in the 6th, opposes my NNode in the 12th, which conjuncts my natal Venus at 5 Libra also 12th house.
As I looked further it squares my natal Saturn at 4 Capricorn/3rd house, and also my
progressed Mars is at 3 Capricorn/3rd house. So is this about demonstrating control of thinking/speaking, or a testing of, or illumination of same, or something to do with siblings?
As Natal Saturn and progressed Mars/3rd, which are now conjunct, and being squared by Rx Venus, what does this mean? Letting go of the past? 3rd house is about Communication, ability to communicate authentically? and natal Saturn in that house squares my natal venus in the 12th, along with the NNode...3 Libra Sabian symbol....a brand new day, or am I rounding up to 4 Libra "A group of young people sit in spiritual Communion".
Is this the "right Action" on the horizon?
endings/beginnings...with gifts being delivered in April?
Grasias Senor...

WHR -
Been having trouble getting into my dashboard. Can't do much here if I can't get to the controls.
The SN is where we "show what we know." Perhaps you'll get insights into past relationships which helped you see a larger life or a new way to go. Maybe one which showed you impulsiveness was a misfire.
Aries is the emergent square to Capricorn. This is a RX square so you'll have the first one when Venus first enters Aries. That will trigger whatever you have to demonstrate or let go of at the RX. You may not have a whole picture of this process until Mercury and Venus go back over their SRX points.
Remember ALWAYS "round up" when it comes to Sabian Symbols.
Right action is always the choice, here and now. It is not "out there." It is how we skillfully utilize our experience at each moment of decision and choice.
Maybe the Mercury and Venus retrogrades in Aries are giving you a chance to see your Capricorn from different angles and rework or rethink or revalue something?

Your Wisdomness!
Sorry for the 2 posts, my computer didn't show that I had posted the first 1. I appreciate your wisdom and response.
Thank you for the "impulsiveness" insight, I picked up/received info on that yesterday, as I watched myself go through "auto-pilot" motions in that direction.
Thanks so much for your response :-)
