We’re headed into one of THE most intense “expansion through sacrifice” periods imaginable. Lots of hard adjustments coming soon!
A quincunx is an angle of 150 degrees with a general meaning of “adjustment,” whether before or after confronting something surfacing in our lives. When we have three planets, two of which are in sextile and one at the inverse midpoint making quincunxes to the planets in sextile, that is a “Kite” configuration we call a “Yod,” or “Finger of God.” I’ve written extensively about both the aspect and the configuration in the articles linked here, so if you don’t know how those work, please read those articles first and then this one will make more sense.
Right now Mars in early Virgo has begun to form quincunxes to Saturn at 2 Aries, Neptune at 3 Aries and Pluto at 4 Aquarius. The Yod will perfect at 2, 3, and 4 Virgo. Actional discernment, a liberating ordeal, invisible help when human efforts seem to fail, and opportunities to practice fellowship and good will.
As Saturn and Neptune both sextile Pluto and all are quincunx Mars at the inverse midpoint, Mars serves as a nozzle to release the productive spiritual energies of Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto, all of which are in harmony with each other at this time. How Mars expresses itself will go through some hard adjustments to squeeze out all which would hinder the effective service of Mars in Virgo.
Adding to this configuration expressing spiritual power through Mars, we also see that Mars in Virgo is also being sextiled by the Sun and Jupiter, adding to Mars’ productivity through the “expansive caution” of Sun and Jupiter in Cancer. However, we see that the Sun, Jupiter, and Mars are all quincunx Pluto, setting up another Finger of God with Pluto in Aquarius as the nozzle, or focus, for the energies of the Cancer/Virgo sextile..
These interlocking Yods show a lot of “expansion through sacrifice” energy forcing hard adjustments to further productivity involving a wide variety of planets. Interestingly, Sun, Mars, and Jupiter are all personality planets focused through Transpersonal Pluto; Spiritual heavyweights Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto are all Transpersonal planets focused through the personal-social Mars.
To me that indicates we need good Mars and Pluto expression, however that applies in our lives. I do believe that whether personal, social, political, or global, we’ll see a lot of hard adjustments at present wherever we have these planets transiting in our charts, along with excellent productivity as we move into new vistas and a new understanding of our place in the bigger scheme of things. As these interlocking Yods are present in the June Solstice chart, we can expect the next 13 weeks to be impacted accordingly.
See you on Friday with part 2.
